Is this the largest home reef aquarium in the USA? The water in just the pipes alone is over 2,000 gallons at a time with a total tank volume of 17,000 gallons. Victor and Alex return for a full tour of Andrew's tank up and running with a behind the scenes tour! You won't believe what it takes to keep this aquarium maintained. I like that Andrew isn't just such rich guy who paid people to build him a ridiculous tank but he actually understands the science, biology and engineering in the whole thing.

This guy's home aquarium makes some of sea world's tanks look like junk. Def the best tank I've ever seen. 2 thumbs up!!
  • @jdsguam
I've always dreamed of having a super large tank; but, after seeing what all goes into maintaining one, never mind.

This tank is out of this world. It’s easy to say that if one had all the money in the world, this is how one would do it - but it takes so much more than the money. His talent, his knowledge, his dedication and his heart is easily overseen just because he also has marine biologists and assistants and so on employed. Andrew himself is so in touch with and in control of and engaged in everything going on in his tank himself and nothing of this would be possible if he didn’t engage so much in it himself. Also, thanks a lot Andrew for being so generous to share this with us, the community. It’s an honor to get inside information to what is going on at Reef Sandler. You really should have your own TV channel!! 😃

watches video looks over at 30 gallon tank sobs quietly
  • For one person to own and maintain a complex biological and mechanical environment as well as this man does is incredible. This guy's collection is amazing.

This tank is beyond impressive. What a humble dude and great interview
  • Andrew Sandler is an inspiration. This guy has an insane job outside of this and he is able to do this in his spare time. Yeah he has a lot of money, but this is more than just having money. The guy knows every detail of the system and you can tell did not simply pay someone else to get this setup. Kudos to this guy for being inspirational!

Some people take their hobbies to an entirely different level. Then there’s this guy.

You really love how he knows how all of his equipment works. That means he knows his tanks and isn’t farming the maintenance out to others.
  • @zeewaterforum
WOW, very impressive. the house is almost built around the tank!
  • I've had 4 tanks in the past but this guy is the king of fish tanks. And, he's really knowledgeable about everything. I'm really impressed!

What this man has done is incredible, this is something as he says that you can't just get done no matter how much money you have, it still takes time, effort and a lot of experience.
  • I can't imagine Andrew having any time to earn money with all the time and money he has put into turning his ideas into reality. Good for him, and thanks for sharing this with us.
