Never thought I'd be into Haunted swamp Banjo music genre

Steve Martin famously said in his early comedy stand up that there was no way to play a sad banjo song. But there is, by God, a way to play it creepy.
  • Frogs chorus at his entry, mosquito gives it's daily dues, Crocs and Gators act as sentry, bogman chills and makes his brew

My grandfather passed in 94. 2 purple hearts from ww2. He used to play the banjo like this for me in the 80's. Thank you for reminding me his kind is still around! ❀❀❀
  • growin' things wet with mist, drownin' thoughts of the ones who've left, frogs echoin' out in the damp of night, plinkin' in the dark by the jack'olantern's light. Don't get lost, don't sink in, don't stare into the dark without a friend.
  • Haunted is not what I hear. This was truly the first sliver of peace I have found in 2 years.
  • Me thinking I've listened to it "all" then discovering something i never knew I needed in my life
  • This makes me want to learn banjo and sit on my porch at night while all my neighbors sleep.

I live and hunt in Florida, I was stalked by something out in the swamp one night on my way back to my car. Couldn’t see more than 15ft in any direction. One of the scariest moments of my life.
  • Being from the bayou, this definitely captures the darkness of that entire area.
  • My cats approve. Space Banjo is something you need, and you don't even know it. It finds you when you need it.

when people ask me, what music do you like? i say, haunted swamp banjo
  • The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a truly remarkable book, and outsells Encyclopedia Galatica for two main reasons; one, it is slightly cheaper, and two, it has the phrase, "DON'T PANIC", inscribed in large, friendly letters on the cover.
  • @UATU.
I love the thumbnail, he looks like a methane-breathing pilgrim playing a tribute song at Yoda’s house on Dagobah.

After the warpstone mess back on Ceres, Zeb & I decided to hang low in the tributaries of the Hellas off the grid like. With the lower gravity the crawdads there grow bigger than any back on earth

I listen to a lot of ambient music and background sounds for the table top games I puppet over. This channel found itself into my feed when I started searching for sci-fi ethereal sounds. Curiosity took hold, now I've been working on a complete setting, story, and characters. Because in space, no one can hear you, Ban-jo!

I'm really loving all you storytellers in the comments! This is a genre I never knew existed and I never knew I needed. Wonderiful work, thank you
