Hadrons name actually has a bit of a funny story behind it, before I joined the fandom I was always a bit of a science nerd, and I had a computer background that said "particle physics gives me a hadron." I eventually changed it to something else I can't remember. But when I designed Hadron he didn't have a name for ages, then one day that background popped back into my head, so I chose Hadron, it just vibed with me and continues to do so. But since choosing Hadron as my name I've always had people misread it as "Hardon wolf". Keeping in mind the source the name came from I've always found it funny.

Quick note to add, you don’t need to make a fursona when you’re new to the fandom. You could wait years before making one and it’ll be fine.

I love that these kinds of videos also serve as an invitation for people to share about their characters. It's so sweeeet

I created a character when I was younger and wrote books with my friends. She was a human who could become any type of canine, but especially loved being a wolf. She also had wings and control over heat and fire, so i called her Pyra L. (Lupus) Canis. This year I realized I've been a furry all this time 🤣 My first fursona has really been a no-brainer 😊
  • I chose Starfall, I feel that it’s shows I like astrology, and that we’re both clumsy in one way
  • My fursona (and current name on here) is FR3AKSH0W! I chose this name because I am a performer, and like to randomly do performances at school for no reason lol(bit), so wanted my fursona’s name to incorporate something like that. Another thing is also that I am a big FNAF nerd, and a lot of people think FNAF is “creepy” or “scary”. Another thing is that I am a cosplayer, and sometimes cosplayers are perceived as “weirdos” or “freaks” (along with furries), so I thought I’d take that to my advantage. Also since, again, I’m a FNAF nerd, my fursona also happens to be an animatronic, so I thought adding numbers and stuff to the name would fit well, and I think it does lol(bit). Anyways, that’s how I came up with my Fursona’s name, so ye. (Also, for those concerned with the whole “freak” and “weirdo” thing, I’m not bothered by those names. Honestly, I’ve kind of learned to like them, because you know what, yeah, I am a weirdo. I am into things that society would deem “weird”, and that’s okay. I don’t have to follow society’s standards, and I don’t want to be something I’m not. So, yeah, call me what you want. Weirdo, freak, whatever. The real weirdo is the people who are so interested in what my my hobbies and interests are. Don’t let other people’s words or opinions get to you, because you don’t have to pretend to be something you’re not for other people. Just be who you are, and don’t let anyone stop you, because you are beautiful.)

Misty and Coby name history: (RIP Coby, you’ll be missed 😭 💔) Misty & Coby twins are 2 of my fursonas. They are Russian Blue Mixbreeds with dark grey, raggedy fur, and an oyster white chest, and paws, but Coby had a white spot on his chin. Coby was the scaredy cat, but the nicer one, with giant, wide dark green eyes and a skinny, petite body but tall front paws. Misty was the plumper, angrier one. Being the shorter one, ever since she was a kitten, she just hissed, bit and scratched a lot. Her eyes were always down and squinted, with Coby having awful cancer and being terribly sick, and Misty having her eyes strangely bleed and pour weird goo from her eyes. Coby died at 13 years of age from a seizure of his cancer. Misty is still here with me, and she’s right next to me while typing this. And there’s my fursona.

When I was six or five, I made my first OC. She was a bald human girl with white skin, and an orange t-shirt. (Sort of odd ones out style). Her name, was Toaka. As I grew up, I became a better artist, and a year and a few months ago, I made a fursona. I based her off of my oc. And decided, that I would twist the name of my oc, and name her... Tohaka. That name will always stick with me because of how unique it is, and how I have ALWAYS been known as that. Props to kid me. Love you <3

I actually let my friend choose a name for my sona. That name was victoria. Despite not identifying myself or my sona female i still kept the name because i think it fits them. I don’t believe in gendering things anyways
  • @F_NerdShark
He started out as a little kid, so I named him Wilbur cuz it sounded cute, and then I completely re-wrote his character so he’s literally a sociopath 💀 But the name still fits him so-

Random shower thoughts be picking the name for me tbh
  • @blockglock
I sat with my fursona’s design for a long time, not knowing what to name it. I had some ideas, but I more or less wanted something that actually had value to me. Some part of me just wouldn’t let myself put in some random, meaningless name. Then one day I was reminded of Autumn, a name that I have cherished and found to be so beautiful my whole life. I actually want to name my daughter Autumn if I ever have one. Anyway, I changed the spelling a bit to “Autum” to make it appear a bit less feminine, and stuck it on my current fursona. I couldn’t be more happy with Autum’s name

One of mine is named Latte, and is themed after the drink too! Her whole concept is embodying the comfort I get out of drinking and making lattes, but I do want to design a character that’s closer to me down the line My current idea is maybe a Mantled Beast
  • @MagicSkittlez
I have several fursonas, and honestly the name that comes to me is based upon my mood at the time 😭Sometimes I'm feeling a "Sprinklez" and other times I'm feeling "Cygnus: king of woes" Btw what animal exactly is your fursona? I'm assuming a black leopard or Jaguar, but panther is an umbrella term referring to all big cats with square heads and can roar ^^'
  • @stupidsimmy
personally i named my fursona Simmy, mainly because that's the name i primarily go by on the internet.
  • @stoopidjz
I am somewhat new to the furry fandom and still working on my fursona, but for my fursona (which is a crow) his name is nester because birds (like crows) uses nests and such for their homes and other stuff!
  • @Ozzie_adventures
I came up with my fursona names based on what my OCs looked like. For example: my nature inspired OC Roxyn. Since he has abilities and looks that are connected to nature, Rox is the first part. And -yn is part of the name Ryan. I've always liked that name so I took the y and the n and added it to Rox. Which the creates Roxyn.
