To any non manga readers out there, this series has one of the best world building I've seen. The plot is also one of a kind so please check it out and don't sleep on this series
  • Any anime that has an opening or ending with Bump of Chicken is going to be great. And having the entire manga, it’s going to be GREAT
  • @ipnade
You can tell how much love Trigger is putting on animating this. Can't wait!

The first time trigger is doing an anime based on a manga, this looks amazing

As much as it is geared towards the gourmet aspect, it has a wonderful spine of a narrative running through it, and was truly a surprise in it's depth of conception. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill adventure story, defeat-something-and-advance trope. And above all it is charming, charming and thoughtful, that you cannot help but adore. The characters and their interaction with the unfolding plot and encounters are truly what make you stay with the story. I'm superbly excited for the anime. Manga, I've understood, unlike novels-to-movie, when produced in the anime form competently, always, always compounds the pleasure, adds to the viewers experience, there is no loss in translation. Cannot wait to lose myself in the anime.❤

I'm really happy the manga is being adapted into an anime, and I'm even more glad that they decided to do it after the manga series wrapped up. I hope they make a great adaptation, and I look forward to watching it all soon!

I've been hyped for this. It looks amazing. Trigger studios always knows how to blur the lines between old and new animation styles.

Trigger doing an adaption of something (which they haven't done in ages, Edgerunners doesn't count) has my attention.

To say I actually screamed is an understatement, the neighbor's dogs are barking. I'm glad that the manga, which is complete!, is getting an anime adaptation. This series really deserves more fans.

I lost it so many times reading this series, and its fantasy trope-breaking jokes. I hope everybody enjoys watching the animated version! Ryōko Kui is a bloody great writer AND artist! Also, a public service announcement: Elves are a proud & noble race! They are not lewd!
  • @gretafreitag2041
Dungeon Meshi is amazing, and Ryoko Kui is a godess of good characters and delicious looking art. Best upcoming anime.

The season just started and this series came out of nowhere and might be my #1 of the season. Excellent sense of humor and execution. And Trigger is behind it? Hell yeah, the season started so strong.
  • I finished the manga yesterday, this anime is going to shake the scene! I'm so excited to watch it!!!! Ryoko Kui is soooo skilled!
