Petition for Simon to wear new and progressively weirder hats every episode

Point of interest: My wife, who is schizophrenic, has told me that she gets irritated with her psychiatrist because she (my wife) has a tendency to call her symptoms “my crazy” in simple discussion, but her doctor insists on correcting her. She’ll say “we don’t use that word here because it’s insensitive” and tell her to use the term “psychosis.” My wife’s response has been “I think psychosis sounds much worse than saying ‘my crazy.’ If this is supposed to be about being sensitive to my feelings as your patient, then you should probably consider how I feel rather than what you’ve made a habit.” There a many more schizophrenics out there going about there business without bothering anyone than most people would believe, and they are almost all very misunderstood.
  • You Got that quote the wong way round. It's "If you are talking to God, that's fine, but if God i talking to you, You might be insane."
  • @Thenewboidahlia
It’s so funny seeing Simon wearing a hat! (Even funnier how early he addresses it lol)
  • Simon is trying to hide his baldness with that hat like how he’s trying to hide the fact that his writers are still locked up in his basement.
  • I love when Simon can't/doesn't say what happened, not out of sadistic or morbid intrigue but because it shows that this story is about the humanity, not the brutality
  • @drdogballsjr
cant imagine how cold it must be in the basement for simon to need a hat. hope he tossed them some blankets as a reward for the script
  • @rouge9082
Simon channeling his inner hipster criminalist lol

6:09 actually the saying is "If you talk to god that's fine, if god talks back you have a problem"

Hey I listened to this one like 12 hours ago on podcast form. I remember thinking "I wonder what kind of hat he's wearing?" Turns out it was a beanie. What a rollercoaster of emotion on my end. But in all seriousness, thanks for skipping the gory details. Noone needs to hear that.

This episode of casual criminalist is brought to you by Hipster Whistler
  • I gasped aloud when Simon said he'd never heard Carlin. 7 Words You Cannot Say on Television is so good. His later stuff about prison is eye opening. Even his political interviews are fascinating listens!

We got another one folks! I’ve been wanting to cover this one for a while, it just took a lot of work piecing it together, not a lot of coverage in it! Regardless, I hope you all enjoy! Any criticisms and comments are welcome!

Simon rocking this hat while ETA is still waiting in the basement to make his Casual Criminalist debut

Simon, from a people who eat beans on toast, you have no room to talk about vegetables for breakfast.
  • @AndrewJShirley
Thank you for not going into the dark details. You can see Simon goes over and reads what's said and just goes. "Nope, you don't need to know" and no, we don't and thank you for not going into insane detail.
