Been there many years ago, one of my key favorite places. Got hammered on Retsina and fell asleep on the beach. Bought a pair of good leather boots made by a local craftsman, wore them for years.

Rethymno is a fantastic place and probably the nicest town in Crete. Walking in the small streets of the old port is so relaxing. I stayed at Aquila Porto Rethymno and would recommend it if it's in your budget.
  • I thought that Rthymno in Crete was just so beautiful. The history makes it even more interesting.
  • Thank you for all the detailed videos you make. They bring the locations to life especially with all the people you interview and the products that you highlight.

  • great to see the lira making, retaining the craft from his father. Hopefully he can pass it on to another generation,
  • The video contents is like watching movie from Hollywood studio. Even the music and the voice that sound like angels from another galaxy. Thanks for great job.

It is great to see what are the prospects of other people about my hometown! As a teenager as I’m growing up I’ve never really thought that rethymno can be THAT fascinating for other people but now I can. Great content with nice details.

  • Eviva. Obvious etymology from Latin vivere, but there is another etymology, ευοί-ευάν , pronounced = evi-evan , an ancient esclamation during festivals of Dionysus (Bacchus) god of wine and tragedy. This esclamation is mentioned in the tragedy Bacches of Euripide.

It's a vlog as beautiful as you, but it was beautiful with you. I don't think it would have been as beautiful if someone else had shot it.👍
