A little less than 2 years ago, Merc did not want to make Lewis a brand ambassador. And offered him a significantly less salary than what he was already making ( not that he doesn't already earn a ludicrous amount), and then Merc openly dangled a carrot in front of max to the tune of twices' Lewis salary at the time ( which still marginally more than max at RB pre extension reveal) After that, the writing was all over the wall so to speak.

george knows that ToeToe has it in for lewis because he is pissed lewis is leaving for ferrari.. and george is , at this point, on the benefitting end of ToeToe's ire. we all know that george cant hold a candle to lewis's driving skill and of course will welcome any "anti lewis" shenanigans ordered up by the grease bag ToeToe

I mean this is kind of reminiscent of what happened with Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari, ofc not in the same way, but I do not think a driver of Seb's caliber can suddenly have such a drop in performances, just like Lewis.

This Merc season is anyways funny… remember when car was not good at beginning of season and George said , mainly Lewis was involved in new concept, now taking credit for a great car. Lewis is one of the best F1 drivers of all time , a true gentlemen and uses his fame to address issues in society. Looking at 2021, they did not want him to break Schumachers record - not sure if his skin color was the contributing factor ….

Yea bro in hindsight there is no doubts. SLH may do some great things at Ferarri. I hate to see him leave Merc tho.

Anyone noticed that young blonde assistant of Lewis who probably heard a lot of information is no longer by his side in the post race interviews, since Toto went on the hunt of who leaked the tyre information. Just saying lol.

This whole thing with gr63 car being illegal in spa reminds me of an article I read on either daily mail or auto motor und sport that slh44 issues with his performance is not the car he has but because slh44 was experimenting with setup too much while gr63 was accepting the car as it is and adjusting his driving style to match now slh44 has hinted from 2022 that something was wrong with his car he kept saying he is not able to sync with the car and setup experiments not working and from 2022 until now gr63 would always score more points than slh44 early in the season then by summer break slh44 would catch or pass gr63 so merc had been at this for years and what happened at spa shows why none of slh44s setup experiments worked because gr63 car was built different the sabotage email and now spa result shows that merc was playing with slh44s car from way back and would only allow parity if they saw they were dropping places in constructors championship

Interesting..but its a diffucult situation for both sides. Lewis leaves the team, so obviously there are concentrating themselves to george and its understandable but wouldn't like to be in Lewis's position. He could also wait with his desicion to go. He could have just as easily betrayed Mercedes by announcing much later that he was switching to Ferrari. but he hasn't. Now he is in disadvantage.

Merc have put lewis over other drivers for five seasons which won him 5 titles with them, his car is not nerfed, it is just not a priority, the car is not even competing for a championship,it's common knowledge he is leaving, the car is not performing, the priority is on the driver that is staying, so that the car next year could be built around him, the team is trying to understand the car, from the POV of their driver,"George", if the Ferrari driver scores points, good for the team, why weren't people saying the same thing, the last 3 years.
