A special thank-you to Giuseppe Milana for giving me permission to use his beautiful artwork for this coffee shop ambience! Have a look at his work here: www.artstation.com/giuseppe_milana

I wanted to do something a little different this week, so I added a layer of soft piano music to this coffee shop ambience! (I'm not sure if this artwork was meant to be a coffee shop, but I didn't know what exactly to call it (though "Cozy Coffee Corner" or "Coffee in the Not-So-Sunny Sun Room" works too, if you will!). I didn't add the typical background sounds to this one, just the rain, distant rolling thunder and piano music for ultimate relaxation. Grab a book and enjoy your time in this rainy day coffee shop with piano music playing and rain tapping against the window.

I hope you enjoying listening to this as much as I enjoyed making it!

  • I've been here since the beginning. While browsing the comments this morning, I was delighted to see that there's an entire community of people who come back to this video too. It's a nice idea to think that we've all been sitting here together throughout the years.

I know this won't go anywhere, because YouTube hates me... but I just want to say, if you do see this, I know things are hard, and things seem really dark right now, but we are gonna get through this. I don't even believe the words I'm typing because I've said them before, and don't really mean it... but it doesn't make it any less true. Time is the band-aid that doesn't come off till you remember that it was there once and fell off along the way. You're life isn't an accident, you are here to do something, and you know deep down what that is. All the memories in your life, all the experiences, mistakes and accidents, those make you, you. Don't be ashamed of who you are, because you are the only person that can make you happy. So relax, pack a bowl, drink some coffee or make some tea, because today is the day you can make those dreams happen. I love you. 💚

As many others, 2 years later, I always return to this video. Perfect rain sound, music and ambiance.
  • To everyone who is doing homework, leave the chat, breathe slowly, take a sip of water, and focus To everyone who is trying to sleep, leave the chat, grab a blanket, and get the rest you deserve. To everyone who is feeling sad, grab a snack, get some water, get a blanket, and write down your thoughts. when you're done, lay down, and get some rest, no matter the time. To everyone who is creating, you got this. your art is amazing. remain in your flow and get stuff done! AWESOME! And remember, you are ALL OUTSTANDING.

I miss this. I miss people watching. I miss looking out and seeing the energy of people walking by. I miss intellectually flirting w the waiter. I miss seeing couples from across a cafe and making up their meet story. I miss rain catching me just before I duck into a shop like this. I especially miss my time in Canada. Walking down Queen Street when I visited Toronto. I miss people. I miss you all. Thank you for this. So so much.
  • This is one of the greatest ambience perfections on YouTube. Even with the music, it keeps the music UNDER the ambient sound level so as not to be the main thing you hear. It's like the best of both worlds for those of us who prefer the natural sounds over music.

I swear: everyday I try to listen to any other ambience video... everyday I have to get back to this one because of its perfectness!

I like how the picture is not a grey day, but one that has rain, with light in the sky as well. Like a day you could find a rainbow.

When I lived in Germany, I used to visit a coffee shop in Giessen called Mr. Jones. It's right across from the train station and so is a fantastic place to sit and people-watch. Some of my finest days was sitting at a table in the corner, looking out the window and watching ripples form from raindrops in puddles. Oh, I'd bring a book and intend to get some quality reading time in over a cup of coffee. But I'd usually watch people and ripples instead. If you're ever in Giessen, you could do a lot worse things than spend a few hours at Mr. Jones.

I come back to this video a lot. Like more than I'm supposed to. This specific video tends to help me fall asleep, it really seem to relax me and calm me down. It helps me not to overthink, or think at all. I also come here when I'm reading, it helps me focus on the story and doesn't get me distracted. I'm a rain lover, anything with rain really gets me in the mood. Same thing goes to thunder and more.
  • This sound is so wonderful. The person who is reading this comment , i wish you great success , health, love and happiness !
  • Some so calming about this picture, imagine sitting there reading a good book then setting it aside to drink tea and look out seeing the strangely comforting sight and sound of rain.
  • I pray that whoever reads this feels loved, safe, and secure. I pray for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing for ALL.💓💓🙏🙏 Peaceful dreams!
  • My wife and I continually come back to this. It’s our favorite relaxation background, and our pups love it, too. Thank you!

I just love the energy in this comment section. I hope you all are doing okay. Even if times are dark right now, you are not alone, keep pushing forward you're going to make it and everything is going to get better with time. Life is complicated and maybe yours doesn't have a goal to live for yet, but that doesn't mean that you will never find it. Keep looking for your goal, when you find it you'll know it. It will feel like something perfect for you like it was made just for you to enjoy it. Stop caring what people think because vpeople actually don't care, you can dance around the street and people are going to forget about it after 5 minutes, don't let people tell you how to act, how to dress, how to sit, how to eat... You are not anybody's property. You are your own person, your own hero. Even when the world kicks you hard you have to get up and try again, don't let other people make you think you are not worthy just because you're overweight, underweight, tall, short, black, Asian, loud, or quiet. You are WORTHY and BEAUTIFUL in your OWN WAY. Let other people think what they wanna think nobody is imperfect and nobody is perfect. Even if there's no sunlight in your life right now follow that little bit of light you see and it should lead you to the surface, you'll see sunlight again and see that all that unbearable pain you went through was worth it.
  • Don't know if someone is reading this, but if you are: You are amazing and beautiful! I believe in you!❤️
  • sonder: the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk. (the word is from John Koenig's Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows)

This is absolutely lovely, especially now that the weather is beginning to cool off. I listen to it every morning and light a few candles while I read my Bible and it creates such a perfect ambience. Thank you!
