0-18 - Hardest part of the level by far, this part ruined so many sessions and sometimes id go hundreds of attempts without passing it once.
18-34 - REALLY ANNOYING but it gets semi consistent, this part gave me problems but it bacame consistent.
34-49 - These 2 sections were a nightmare to learn being the hardest to learn but being the easiest to get consistent with, Semi RNG due to how the ship plays.
49-55 - Atrocious dual, 52 being the hardest and most luck based clicks in the level due to how RNG and how awfully the hitboxes are, sometimes the ufo would kill me randomly which is basically unavoidable. 2nd Worst part of the level.
55-58 - Easy Wave, not much to say.
58-62 - A really easy UFO that somehow gave me a lot of problems thanks to nerves.
62-79 - I hated every click of this part, being the most awkward section thanks to the 66, 74 clicks, the 77 click being really hard to control with nerves, I also had 3 deaths to the 79 buffer thanks to nerves.
79-87 - Worst part of the level, every click is beyond atrocious and by far the greatest chokepoint of the entire level, placing right at end. Had 9 deaths to that ship.
88-100 - Although i only had deaths to the last ufo here, this part is REALLY hard with nerves, being responsible for a lot of failed runs, especiall the ball.
Anyways, This level as i said is probably the worst level i have ever played. Balancing can range from some parts feeling like legacy to around top 30 for some reason, This level probably is underrated and is probably around Zodiac Difficulty.
When i picked this up in september, i didnt think it was gonna spiral into this, I didn't know the difficulty, i didn't know what it looked like. I got 86-100 which was small but i was happy, but as i went down the level, I realised this was MUCH, HARDER THAN SONIC WAVE. Getting 58-100 and 39-91, this level eventually got placed at #50, Below Renevant, Above Calculator Core. This only motivated me further and i started slowly chipping away at progress from 0, getting 41, 46, then a progress fluke to 64. Once I got 64, progress seemingly slowed down for a few weeks.
Until it didn't.
18th November, 2023, 97%. This death was probably the worst thing to happen to me in GD, but oddly enough, I didn't feel sad but oddly, motivated.
Same day i got 66 and 70% which showed my consistency developing. I did not stop playing until the fateful day 2nd December 2023. 97, Again. This death began my on an off playing of this level, losing much motivation to carry on, maybe getting a 18-100 run every now and then but by then those runs were obsolete, cause the predrop was silent. I entered a loop feeling that I could never beat this and this would simply be another to the pile of dropped hardests like Bloodlust.
Spring Break arrived and I decided enough was enough. I am going to beat this level and so i began playing once more and started getting runs immediately such as 18-100 and 39-100 on a regular occurance, My consistency was rising further and further. The day before i beat this was my best day, Getting 52x4, 64, 66, and 74x2, And the predrop suddenly clicked for me and i was even consistent at that. The day after...
It was over.
This was a day i didnt ever think would happen. I never thought i'd be good enough. But I did it. My hardest wasnt Sonic Wave now. It was Sky Shredder. I didnt feel a lot of excitment like I did in Sonic Wave but, relief. It was done, and i never had to play it again. And I can't wait for whats waiting for me this year.
