  • I didn't know this until recently, but apparently both Merry Mini-Land & Slippery Summit were completely new additions in the remake (And yes, I know that Mini-Land Mayhem existed, as I have played it before)
  • All this because he just wanted a toy all this could have been prevented if the toads just gave him a toy

I like how they extended the intro, it shows DK’s motive for stealing the Mario Toys! Edit: and I just realized they only showed part of the intro for the original gba

Interesting how in the remake Nintendo was like “oh no! We can’t have the characters be mean spirited in our remake! Take out the part where Mario and the Toads laugh at DK and change it so the Toads stand there concerned like idiots when DK’s about to fall.. NOW!”

I see they used Jenn Taylor AND Sam Kelly's clips for the Toads.

The map that throws Hey Ho on the Nintendo Switch is relatively high in difficulty.

Protip for the Fire Mountain boss: For the barrels that are rolling on their sides, if you do a handstand, you can tip them right-side up and throw those barrels at him too. It makes the boss fight much faster and easier (and this especially matters on the GBA version since it helps you get a better score).

I really prefer the music in the original... and the way the toads intentionally made DK fall off the building.
