for all you asking about the yellow app seen at 5:25.. It’s literally the Yellow Pages app 👍 I think you guys are too young to have used it. It’s a business directory. Edit: also, its model SGH-i717 and it was AT&t Version. This is why it’s missing home button
  • We bought a Note 1 in early 2012. It was just mesmerizing. Some features were so good that I still miss them today. The "Live Wallpaper" was great! It was a picture of a beach where that changed according to the actual weather and day/night cycle of your location. Rainy days made your phone come alive. Crayon Physics was also a fun little game as shown. The S-pen was great of course. I stopped actively using the phone in 2017. 5 years! And even after it, I used to get back to it just for fun from time to time. It finally died in 2022. A whole 10 years later. It set the trend for phones in terms of increasing display size. Still cherish it.

I remember sitting in college class at the time and a guy just straight up took notes on his Galaxy Note like a boss, while the rest of us plebs with shiny iPhones were still slaving a way with pens and paper. Such a weird combination

I personally don't prefer the AT&T version of these older phones they kinda look a bit rundown compared to the actual model

Galaxy Note is my favorite lineup of smartphones. My last one is Galaxy Note 5, it was amazing, I miss my phone

Oh damn, the S8000 was my first phone as a kid! Still got it laying around somewhere! I highly recommend testing the... multi-shot/combining shot feature(?) You'll find it in the scene/effect settings somewhere, it's actually meant to take a photo with a friend, when it's just the two of you. (or just yourself twice) But can be used for some interesting unintended effects. Take a selfie and stick your tongue out left and right, while looking in different directions. It combined both halves of my face seamlessly with a conjoined tongue (back in 2009, when I took a photo like that - nwver had a cam with tech that could compare)

I still have my Note 1, it's still working, just really slow now.

Back in the days when phones where exciting. I had the Samsung Note 2, 3 and 4. Brilliant phablets.

A phone I miss from this time period that I had was the Samsung Galaxy Epic 4g. IT had a slide-out keypad that was just awesome. It was also really big for the time, both screen and it was thiccc. I miss physical keypads.
  • Super cool video. I love the Spen on my S23 Ultra; it's really cool to see its first version.

I've had Note 3 for several months in 2017 and it was really great still. Used it as a tablet, since it had problems with cellular.

    Camera is surprisingly impressive

I had Note 1 on my job for testing and other operations. It was pretty solid phone for its time, bit lackluster at the later years of its existence. But I liked it. My first android device was 3G version of Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet that was pretty much Galaxy S3 stretched to 8 inches with S-Pen added. Kinda interesting thing it was.
