It was a lot better than I expected. I drove to Depoe Bay Oregon to be among the first to see it in the middle of the great shadow.

Eclipse party at my house tonight at 8:00 pm, beverages for alcoholics plus great food until total darkness.

I was 200 miles south of Madras OR, at 93% totality. The temp dropped from 75°F to 62°F. You could see the leaf shadows go pin-point, and all the neighborhood cats woke up from their midmorning nap and became active! 😄

Not all Cnn viewers are trump supporters, but all trump supporters are Cnn viewers.

So... if there's an eclipse on a really hot day when an eclipse happens and it gets cold really fast, is that global warming greenhouse effect or just the sun just getting hotter?Think about it... on a really hot day when the Sun goes down how come it's still hot at night?

One of the Bright Bulbs on the weather channel just said the eclipse "brang" everyone together. Sounds like that would hurt.
