A great video, I cannot say this enough times. Why people struggle to save, mamela: 1. We have the words 'needs' and 'wants' confused. We throw the word 'need' around like a netball. We can be riddled with debt, struggling to pay it but we will still buy the latest iPhone because we 'need' it since it's our birthday and we have had a difficult year. Then we say we can't save. 2. Comparison, Katlego drives a vw r line, so I must do the same. Siya ba ngena. Then I say I can't save. 3. Yolo - I might die tomorrow, so let's show this Paycheck flames. You wake up alive tomorrow, surprise🎉. Instead of finding a balance since you are likely to live. Personal finance is 20% maths and 80% behavior.

Absolutely true! I honestly wish more people actually took accountability for entertaining bad money management habits and actually start reigning in their finances. Like you mention, it is not a difficult task, and it is different for everyone. I also find that other people won't understand why you choose not to spend & live a life of luxury - the same people that don't have emergency funds setup and have high levels of credit card/unsecured debt.
