I just really hope this game is so successful that it begins a new series of Metroid games. Samus is such a badass and the game was so incredibly fun.

Why does absolutely nobody mentions the exceptional sound quality . Wearing headphones and hearing the clicky sound and footsteps is so satisfying
  • After Dread, I really wish there would be a Samus Update in smash.

This was my first Metroid game and it was amazing. The abilities, atmosphere, fluid gameplay I loved all of it and instantly played Super Metroid after beating this game

I mostly watched my older brother play/beat the original Metroid when I was a kid. My first Metroid game that I played myself and completed was Metroid 2: The Return of Samus on the GB! My elbows were sore from laying on the living room floor, focus locked into the little screen for hours on end!

I love the boss fights. They are difficult until you learn the patterns.

I love that this game is hard. It's so rewarding when you beat the boss. And honestly it looks great on my TV. Idk why he was griping about that

My first Metroid game was the original when it released for the NES, and Dread has brought back the same feeling of exhilaration mixed with frustration. I think this is a genuinely awesome game! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
  • The game definitely pays its respects to previous titles in the series. And most of all it doesn't dumb down Samus like in Other M. She is a real badass in this one and I love it.

The bossfights knocked my socks off, didn't expect the game to be so damn good.

The eme robots are basically like your “twin” from fusion. Those parts have stuck with me al these years back when I played it on my gameboy SP. glad to hear it’s back in dread. Literally gives you more suspense then actual horror games
  • Prime was my first overall Metroid while Zero Mission was my first mainline Metroid. Definitely glad I was introduced to the series as a kid.

Dread is my GOTY so far by a mile, after i beat the final boss (which took an hour on its own, its kinda tough figuring out the patern) i started a new file just to try to get some sequence breaks

My first Metroid game was Metroid on the NES. First game I fully beat as a kid. Haven't played a Metroid game since the first Metroid Prime so I think I need to jump back in now with Dread.

My first metroid game was “Metroid II: The Return of Samus” on the original Game Boy. Been a huge fan ever since. Loving “Metroid Dread” but surprised at its difficulty.

Made me feel like back when I was a kid playing Super, trying to figure out what to do next! Haven't had so much fun playing a game in a long time. Hope to see more of this in the future.
  • I’m always happy with a new Metroid game… This game almost take me a heart attack with all the excitement with exploring the new areas, getting new powers, escaping EMMI units, and even just the new enemies! I rate this game for the whole family!
