Stuff like this makes me appreciate the work Disney and Universal do even more

The mechanic where the stone appears on the ride vehicle is awesome! I didnt notice it pop up the first time around but the timing was really cool
  • @Aluhcav
If Universal ever did a ride for Jumanji. I could see then doing the board game version, and having it be really interesting.
  • I really wish this ride actually had a themed ceiling too. When the lights flash and you can see the walls and ceiling parts, it really kills the immersion
  • Hilarious that everyone is pointing out all the ways this ride breaks the “illusion”, but no one is talking about how the character says everything in two different languages, even when fleeing for his life 😂

thank you for visiting Italian parks, I hope there will be more videos about Italian attractions
  • Honestly, it looks pretty good. Sure, you can see the ceilings and some of the walls, but it certainly looks like a lot of work was put into it. If they tone down some of the lights and change a few of the more obvious walls to look like a temple, this would really make it a great ride.
  • I've been to a few of these mid-budget attractions. They're charming in a way and I actually enjoy them

It seems like a good idea, the idea of 'losing lives' across the ride is actually kind of cool. Could have definitely done a sort of Indiana Jones meets Jungle Cruise with the idea. It's really lacking when it comes to immersive themeing, however, with the open celings (making us look up at the spiders was hilarious because you could see the celing), lack of moving pieces/animatronics, and poor ride vehicles (not even real wheels nor an actual steering wheel). So just another ride that would make us say 'What If..'

Nigel's lip-synching is just like a spaghetti western! lol I love this. Great ride idea, and it's awesome that we live in a time when there is plenty of competition with the big leagues in theme park attractions. Jumanji has always been a favorite story of mine so it's a good candidate for a ride like this one. I'll definitely check out more about this Gardaland park.

genuinely love rides like this. anybody could enjoy this, but people underappreciate them too much

Instead of thinking of this as a bad version of an E-ticket-level, Disney-quality attraction, I'm deciding to look at it as the best version of a D-level, non-Disney-quality attraction.
  • @cookimaus1
Love the omnimover style loading system. I figure thats a remnant from the attraction it replaced
  • @TheTehnigga
I see in most of the comments that this ride's not appreciated. Some of us who knows the park, are still mad that they substituted the old attraction, which was something phenomenal in terms of immersion, called "La valle dei re"and we just want it back

This is pretty amazing for a non-Disney or Universal park ride. Considering this is way more immersive and creative than some attractions I've seen outside those parks where you can see the walls / ceilings. This ride may have those issues too, but unlike others, they seem to really excel in other areas and a lot of the reasoning for it being noticed is simply due to the flashing lights that go along with the thunder and the camera angles. However, another thing to think about is most people who do high quality videos on YouTube in a lot of cases can pick up on a lot of detail you wouldn't see in person due to them using high quality camera, or for example, "low lightning" videos (which this channel has released a few) specifically are created to show more detail on dark ride attractions. So while I think it could have been seen in person I think it was more obvious on camera due to the lighting, high quality camera, and angles that were used.
  • For all the comments: I rode it multiple times, Gardaland is my “home park” (~2 Hours drive) and I have to say that is a good ride, when it works properly. Sometimes something is not working, audio and video rarely aren’t in synchro and other minor things. But overall os very good for it’s budget range! You can feel giant’s hot breath when passing in front of the moving head, in the loading station you can smell cinnamon flavour, the big hand tries to catch you, the snake sprays venom when passing by, and when there’s the falling scene you can feeling like you’re falling. Overall I would go for a 7 out of 10.

As someone who only visits maybe 1 theme park every 4 or 5 years. This ride looks like a blast to me! The comments seem like nit picking to me. I hope to be able to ride this some day
