In this Surfer SEO review and tutorial, I break down this popular on-page SEO optimization tool and share with you both the pros and cons of it. I use and get results with the content editor ➡ davidutke.com/surferseo 👇

Surfer SEO does work, but you do need to set aside time to optimize your content. It's a bit tedious at times but it's worth it because once your content is optimized all that is required is maintenance and to regularly update it.

Just 2 days after posting this, they discontinued "grow flow." Was not impressed with that service anyways. I use Surfer SEO only for the content editor because it works. I hope they focus in on that service more instead of trying to be a "do everything" tool. Also checkout my video on Scalenut: https://youtu.be/aUZOjT2aDEI

Hi David, thanks for sharing the video! Tom, co-founder of Surfer here. Regarding your question about our tool's name: initially, it was linked to scraping Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs), leading us to consider 'SERPer.' However, we realized that didn't quite hit the mark. We then thought about the concept of 'surfing' the web, which led to the creation of 'Surfer.' So, it's a blend of SERP analysis and web surfing. Cheers!

Im a business owner for a local business who needs to produce about 25 pages of total content for our new website. It’s not a blog, but more informational content. I’m a beginner with SEO, but I’ve checked out chat gpt, koala, and several other writers. Not sure which to use now as there are so many, and everyone recommends different tools. Do you think Surfer would be a good choice to produce articles, edit them, and post to our website and possibly benefit from any SEO along with it? Or is Surfer overkill for this case? Thank you

Great video mate, there’s so many different tools nowadays , have you tried Claude AI??

Surfer has quite an insane price structure. They had an Essential plan for $60/month (20 articles) and I was just about to sign up and they bumped it to $90/month (30 articles). No thanks - for $90/month you can sign up for Search Atlas, which does way more than Surfer. A small business does not need to write or optimize 30 pages per month. By removing the cheaper option, they are losing a lot of small business customers like me.

What does the credits mean? If I pay for a month, is the posts I create unlimited for that month or do I have to wait to earn a credit

Does Surfer keep track on which keyword to put in H2 vs H3 and how many times?
