I came to Denmark for a long weekend, that turned into 20 years, two kids, a new outlook on life, and a great career. I can't imagine living anywhere else, I feel more Danish than English, now. When people ask my nationality, I say I'm Danish.

As a Dane, I love watching videos of foreigners perspective on my home country. And this one really warmed my heart. :-)

As a dane I love that more people are starting to notice my country, cuz it always seems like Sweden and Norway are the countries people think about when talking about Scandinavia.

Dane here, (well, about 98% of the comments here are Danish 😅, cmon, we like to get a bit of praise sometimes!). I absolutely loved this video! The vibe, the way it's filmed, the commentary and the nice little happy family enjoying their time 😁. It warms my heart so much. Please, PLEASE come again any time 😊😊.

"Slow down and appreciate all the good moments life has to offer" - this was a good reminder of what our overall impression is for others. Even as a Dane myself, I sometimes need to remind myself to calm down, relax, and appreciate life.
  • So, you have discovered "hygge" for yourself.😊 I live in Hamburg and am often in Denmark and southern Sweden - it's not really that far - and I can confirm your positive impression. What I like about Copenhagen is that it's a very bicycle-friendly city, even Freiburg and Münster can't keep up. One more thing: the Scandinavian "y" is pronounced like the German "ü", and the Danish "ø" and the Swedish "ö" almost like the German "offenes ö", O-umlaut with open mouth.

This year I Visited Copenhagen and Denmark for the first time in my Life . I instantly fell in love. The moment I finish my last 10 working years in Germany I am going to move to Denmark asap❤

I normally don't comment on stuff like that but your wifes' hair is absolutely amazing.

I was me who was your guide on the boat in CPH😂 Nice to see you had a good trip 😊

If you're ever in Denmark again, I recommend visiting the South, near the German border. A little Island called Rømø and Als, Southern Danes are some of the most friendly and kind people around. Having lived in Denmark for 23 years, 6 of those in the South, I can't recommend it enough!

Next time you go to Denmark, go to the southern part of Fyn, to Svendborg and Faaborg and sail around the Islands on a beautifull summerday. I have lived there my whole life and every time im out in the world, as I Travel alot, i allways come back home, knowing that i live at the best spot on the entire planet.

  • @SimonLongKrogh
I recommend visiting other Danish cities as well. Odense, Aarhus, Aalborg, the west coast, and the islands south of Funen are all worth considering
