Our music is so deep and touches the soul. I'm so glad I'm American hued-skinned brotha. There's just something about us, our music and culture is just so deeply spiritual and uplifting. I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. Regardless of what pale-skinned people have said and portrayed about us negatively, or any other group for that matter, we are still a mighty and resilient people. No matter how tough things get, our culture sustains us; from soulful Rap to R&B, it just keeps us grounded despite all the adversity thrown at us. From chopping it up with some brothas or having good conversation with a sista(s) and seeing her/them smile, laugh and sharing that warmth with our women is like heaven to me. We have nothing to be ashamed of. I love this chocolate music. I love my people through and through, we are truly a special people.
