  • Philippines has always been there for many countries not just South Korea, considered a poor country and looked down upon by many in this generation ,but when it comes to what really matters you’ll never find a more humane and generous people. They will give the shirt off their backs even if it’s the only one they have if they see that you need it more. Although I grew up in a foreign country , I have witnessed this with my uncles when I was little, I hope my fellow Filipinos will keep this part of their character intact and not lose their way.

But in some point, some Koreans mock the Filipino English accent, but some Koreans go to PH to learn English, the audacity.

40000 troops vs 900?! well experiences and strategies are always the biggest advantage when it comes to war... The Philippines experienced many invasions and wars that explain why they can pull off the impossible... Many countries know them as talented, kind and cheerful people but they are also brave, hardworking and SMART people in the world. As a foreigner who is married to a Filipino I'm sure of these..

During 1950's the Philippines was just recovering from Japanese occupation, but the Philippines was in a better economic situation than other Asian countries. During the Korean war, the Philippines played the key rule in spreading democracy in the far east, for it was the only democratic county by that time in the whole region. The whole of Korea was bound to be communist (under North Korea of today) county. With the U.S., the Philippines and its allies (U.N.) help, South Korea was born and now enjoying prosperous democratic way of government. What made the Philippines special than other nation was that, international (UN) soldiers were losing and even abandoned their posts, only Filipinos were standing their ground and even able to push despite being under armed and under men. What made it more heart warming was the Philippines did not abandoned South Korea after the war and even sent their best technical support in a war torn South Korea medical team, engineers, teachers and all the help it can provide. It is because the Philippines had experienced these situations many times ( Spain war, Japan war and America war). So the Filipinos knew what it was like to live under a war torn nation. Because of this, South Korea was able to recover tremendously faster than any other nation. With this help and the resilience of S. Korean people, from a war torn nation to the prosperous South Korea of today. Sad that the Philippines (who help many nations) was left behind on development due to corrupt government officials.

  • @Jiyooo11
Korea and Philippines had been in the longest relationship because of the 1950 Korean War where Philippines was the first country to send brave Filipino warriors (PEFTOK)
