Angry Birds used to be one of my favorite games growing up. But over the years I've found myself drifting further and further away from it. In this video, I'll be looking into the story of Rovio and the Angry Birds franchise, in an attempt to figured out what series of decisions led to the outcome we know of today. cough cough deleting old games cough cough

  • let's remind ourselves that in the first Angry Birds movie, there was a copyright-free version of Never gonna give you up, meaning that anyone who watched the movie has been rickrolled.
  • I REALLY miss Angry Birds seasons. Those environments got me in the mood for those times of year so perfectly. I wish they'd just keep making those forever.
  • Angry Birds Epic shocked me as a kid. It was... it was just so good, like holy hell, it had double the amount of content than most angry birds game s I had played combined. It took me as much time as it did to beat Angry Birds Star Wars w DLC than to reach the midpoint of Epic, and I still haven't finished it. I'm really disappointed that it never got the sales it deserved.
  • No matter how Angry Birds has gone downhill, I will always remember the times between 2009 and 2016 (that was the year when Seasons ended) as being one of the most popular games on mobile and computer.☺️

I think rovio can redeem themselves, especially some of the projects there working on like “bad piggies 2”, but right now they are in serious hot water with the fans!

I’ll tell you this, behind every cash grab movie, there’s always a bunch of artists trying to make the most out of the script and material and inject as much heart and artistry as they can. If they’re lucky, it might actually show.

Angry Birds is so unbelievably nostalgic. Wish it could make a HUGE comeback in modern times like this; imagine everyone talking about and playing an Angry Birds game(s) in 2023. Wild.
  • Just a small addition to your list of the birds' abilities: the Blues are strong vs ice/glass (however you look at it), Chuck is strong vs wood, and Bomb is strong vs stone

The fact that bad piggies survived the purge and is still going strong after 10 whole years is absolutely insane Bad piggies built my childhood and I wouldn’t be anything without it and the community around it
  • It sucks that the power of a movie got to their head and they thought it would be better to remove everything. Angry birds epic was by far one of the best games i ever played
  • Say about the movies what you want, they really did a great job with the designs: Making them look appealing in 3D while keeping them recognizable. As for Rovio thenselves, I really hope they'll continue putting out remakes if the old games. But they also shouldn't be afraid of branching out like tgey did with Angry Birds Epic. Would be sad to see such a pioneer of mobile gaming go.

You forgot to mention how they massacred angry birds go afterwards. It probably was my favorite game in series and what is happening to it now just makes me want to cry.
  • I wasn't an Angry Birds Epic kid. There, I said it. Playing it back then was too complicated for me, since I was a dumb kid. I wish I could play it today so that I would know why everyone loves it so much. Unfortunately, that may not ever be possible, unless there's a fan remake or until Rovio finally re-releases it.
  • The Duolingo Crossover is insane Also the first time I found Angry Birds was through the Bomb Survival Levels in Little Big Planet Also Ari Pulkinnen is an amazing composer and he worked on Super Stardust, Resogun, Dead Nation with banging tracks.

I was searching for angry birds Rio and seasons a few months ago on play store but i couldn't find them and that really surprised me as they were highly popular game when i was a teenager. Now i got to know what really happened. Ravio should have never deleted their classic games, they were so fun to all age groups😔
  • This is not the only occurrence of a major mobile game being abandoned. The same happened to infinity blade, which was probably my favourite mobile game. I just wish that if companies want to abandon the maintenance of their games, they simply make the code and assets open source so that it community can maintain it.

You ABSOLUTELY need to a video on "What Killed The Rollercoaster Tycoon Franchise" if possible
  • @Aakxsh_18
I still remember , when i was a kid me and my friends were so hyped about angry birds star wars and we were like let's see who finishes it first or who was at higher level, literally every kid in my society loved angry birds star wars at that time. Rovio was a nostalgia let's see what happens next for them.
  • I really do miss this series. Going into more recent games during 2018 basically made me realise that all those whimsical memories and fantasies of fun I had were basically gone. And seriously, if Rovio wants to say to their fans that they're trying to make things better for them, best to just do it, since actions always speak louder than words.
