Racing icon John Force won't race at NHRA Northwest Nationals after accident

Force was involved in a fiery crash while racing at Virginia Motorsports Park on June 23, 2024.
His team says he suffered a traumatic brain injury and a fractured sternum. He’s now out of the hospital and recovering at a rehabilitation center in California.
Anchor Holly Menino talked with Force before the race in Virginia. The two spoke about racing in the Pacific Northwest.

Been going to this race in Seattle for 15 years. 600 mile round trip. It's an experience that everyone should experience. Great people as the crowd are the best down to home folks and the racing is fantastic!!

Funny Car can put any driver into the wall at anytime, comes a time when you're to old to take those 4 G shots into the wall. Hans Device saved Forces life this time. I hope he runs the show from a Golf Cart and enjoys many years ahead running his teams.
