Keirra and Duff, just today, my Molly sent me the link to this podcast. I will watch all of them over the next few days. I have experienced the loss of friends and loved ones but never my child. So while I know grief, I cannot comprehend yours. Duff, I have known you since you were twelve, watched you grow into a rebellious teen and then the loving husband and father into which Keirra molded you. Please accept my most heart felt condolences.
  • I am so sorry for your loss. My heart hurts for you. I admire you for doing this podcast and sharing your story with the world so that it can help others. I would think her death brought you peace as you no longer have to worry about her. Then you feel guilt for feeling that way. When you love an addict who is active in their addiction, you are constantly worried about them! Please share more of Emma's music. She has a beautiful voice.
  • My granddaughter is my bestie... 15 and an honor roll student 🥰 Her dad would be so proud if he didn't overdose on Christmas day 3 years ago while she was waiting for him to come over and open gifts at his mom's house 🤬 We try to make Xmas special for her but... 🤨 My sympathy for your loss... ADDICTION SUCKS 😔

I knew Emma from Curtis Jr. High but we were mostly friendly acquaintances but she was always the sweetest. We reconnected when I came across her tiktoks/YouTube sharing her story and I reached out to let her know how amazing she was and I loved what she was doing with her platform. I think about Emma often. My father is an addict and has been in and out of my life. I had never imagined Id now be sitting here this many years/months later watching her parents podcast on loving an addict and also resonating with the loss of your first baby. My husband and I lost our boy Weston at 30 weeks 6 years ago this November. I know we haven't met and this is just a YouTube comment but you guys are incredible parents, Emma was incredible and thank you for sitting in your depths sharing the real and being so encouraging through your own hurt. You're reaching a lot of hearts.

Thank you for sharing your story and being vulnerable. I am very touched by you desire to heal and help others.
  • We felt helpless when we heard of your struggles. We have had our own challenges and Duff has been a great friend to our most "variant" offspring. Our struggles haven't yet reached 1% of your own, so you are the experts. I noted Duff's comment on "dire" circumstances and thought that dire circumstances need a Dyer approach (pun intended). I remember that Duff was on the high council when things began to unravel and how his first public reaction was to HELP OTHERS. That is the Dyer approach. I recall Grandma Marsh and how firm and faithful she was in the face of trouble. I remember Grandpa Marsh and his creative and upbeat attitude. Bless you and keep up the great work.

Is there a chance that you could put a link to the first podcast you referenced? I would love to watch it as well. I love you and your family… and Emma.
