Summer is here! The evidence abounds. We, lake dwellers, have internal clocks not dissimilar to ocean beach dwellers. These lake clocks are demarcated by summer camps, children's swimming areas, buoyed strung lines authorized swimming areas, young adult lifeguards armed with megaphones, and every 1/2 hour buddy checks for the swimming camps to exit the water and assemble with their chaperones on the beach to be counted and checked. Middle-aged and retired seniors find precious stolen moments to read chapters from a good juicy novel or the latest issue of New Yorker Magazine. Reptile laziness sets in and then back again into the pizza oven interiors of the vehicles to return to air-conditioned interiors and sourdough sandwiches with choice cuts of real or analog meats and cheese(s). #water #cayugalake #fingerlakesny #taughannockstatepark #amsr
