STORY
Welcome to our exploration of a forgotten relic of the past - a grand palace frozen in time in the heart of Portugal. Built-in the mid-1800s, this palace is a stunning blend of Victorian, Italian, and Portuguese architecture, a testament to the wealth and influence of the family who once called it home. For generations, this family knew no bounds when it came to luxury and extravagance, indulging in a life of leisure and adventure. But as time passed, the palace lost its luster, and when the family's heirs - Lucinda and her husband - inherited the estate, they were the last in line. Lucinda's husband passed away, leaving her alone in the vast and empty palace. When she too passed away in 2007, the palace was left to the mercy of time and the elements. Today, the palace lies abandoned and forgotten, its once-stunning gardens overgrown with weeds and its halls silent. Despite its significance, the family's descendants seem to have little interest in the estate, having moved on to new horizons.

Join us on a journey through the forgotten halls of this magnificent palace as we explore the secrets and mysteries left behind. Discover the history of the family who once lived here and the stories hidden within the walls of this grand estate.

  • @YtGad7000
It always bothers me that family members don't care about these gorgeous old houses! I understand they might not have the finances to renovate, but surely they could save and sell most of the precious furniture and other expensive items. Even the clothing could have been donated to charity. An absolutely amazing and beautiful explore, let's hope the relatives do something about the antiques etc soon. I must say, nobody does such beautiful ceilings as the Portuguese and Italian people!🦘😟🥴🤗😀
  • @smc6746
I always love your respectful ways through each castle. Very respectful and classy.
  • Ничего с собой не возьмём мы! Радуйтесь каждому дню здесь и сейчас,ни завтра,ни потом!!!

really feels like opulent waste. I feel like so much could be used still today. I love it all but feel bad all sits and rots. Thank you for sharing.
  • @frankibelt

The bros have done it again. What a wonderful place to live. How can anyone just walk away from such a place. The antiques in this home rotting away. What is wrong with these people? We can never can understand the waist. So very sad. Thanks bros. Stay safe and I will see your work next week.

I love these old wonderful palaces. It is a shame how things are going to waste. So much history. That wine cellar omg 😮👀 The ceilings are magnificent. Such a shame nobody wishes to try to keep it up. It is so sad. Great suit by the way. 😁

Amazing tour you gave us! So clever, gentle and respectful to the people and their memories. Love it when you speak about what you think and feel. You have passion, and its what one need to have, to present history with old belongings so delicate. You are a special young man, born only 7 years before my grandson. I hope your family is very proud of you. I am from Norway, but I had a stepgrandfather living in Belgium. We visited him in 1973 on a journey through Denmark, Germany, France and Spain. We went into Netherland and Germany on our way home. The house in Belgium was as small as only one of these rooms in this movie. Thank you for this movie! I loved it!❤❤❤
  • So many beautiful artifacts. This is why I watch this channel and subscribe through Patreon. I love to watch all of these places.
  • Lesley, it is so cute the way you get lost in your imagination of how things were back in the day and how appreciative you are of the history . Makes watching this so real, like we are there too :)

Thank you again for another great exploration Lesley! The dustpan, and curved brush, in the dinning room, is used only for clearing crumbs off the table between courses. Typically, the butler, or main server, would do this job. The reason the pan, and brush, are so fancy is because it was used in front of the family, and their guests. The rocking chair in the one room is called a bentwood rocker, in the States, due the wood being steamed, then bent into the shapes you see that make up the rocker. Mychael E.
