The new Azure Data Lake Analytics service introduces a Query Language called U-SQL to efficiently and easily process large amounts of data. This video introduces U-SQL, focusing on its integration of declarative SQL with the extensibility of C# and how Visual Studio tooling makes it easy to use.

Hi there, I understand that U-SQL is used for data transformation tasks in ADL. If I want to transform data between Azure SQL database , what is our best options we have in Azure? Should we still rely on stored procedures? PS: I am from MS-BI background.

anyone in this thread happen to have any insight on if I can use U-SQL with OCR to covert text as actual text? What I mean by this is to my understanding OCR does not convert to actual text, but a mathematical representation of that text. I have a need to get the actual text to use in an SQL database but am bottlenecking do to that. Any insight would be great!
