Farm Stand Update - Have We Caught the Thief

Not too long after the video when live, we started getting orders through our website (www.millgapfarms.com). It's strange because this time of year we might see a couple orders each month. I wasn't sure what was happening. A couple of you guys emailed us too. One person offered another blue mason jar! How kind is that! I am still in shock as to the number of views this video has gotten not to mention the number of comments. Emily is out of town with the kids this weekend at a baby shower in Manahawkin, NJ. I'm tending to the farm and thankfully we have guests coming and going in our b&b! We also have an event this weekend in town. I WILL RESPOND TO EVERYONE'S COMMENTS. it will take me a few days. Thank you so much for watching our video and leaving your thoughts! As we get more information on this, I'll post it to the channel. (First Edit - with the thought they will be more) It's been about a week since this video went live. I thought i would be able to respond to everyone's comments but i must say, I'm overwhelmed with the support of the channel and our farm. A lot of orders for maple syrup have come in and we are filling them as fast as we can. I don't know when I will be able to answer everyone but in time I will do my best. It's two guys so both should be charged not just the one on video. The one driving is just as complicit.

If he's stealing from you, he's also stealing elsewhere when given a chance.

Love that his brother had no problem confirming everything to the deputy, and gave him all he needed to get the arrest warrant going along.

There was an honor egg stand here where I live. The lady was using the money, a small amount for her gas money to travel to doctor appointments out of town. It was a really cute stand. Some jerk stole all the eggs and money and ran over the egg stand afterwards. Sadly never was caught and she’s unfortunately passed away since then. I have very little faith in humanity at this point.

Also get him for stealing the cameras,not just the cash.

There is always one jerk that ruins nice things for everyone else.

That man is plenty old enough to know better than to steal from anyone. He needs to be held accountable.

He understands, he just doesn’t care. He’s been like this for years and not likely to change.

We had a similar thing happen when I lived in Ohio. A senior neighbor on the main country road had an “Honor” stand with sweet corn, tomatoes, etc. Everything was great for a long time until it wasn’t. Those were the days when Facebook and security cameras were still a very new thing. The stand’s owner posted a big sign about the honor box being taken. It was a small town so the news spread fast and was even a sermon topic at our local small town church. Folks were very upset because they counted on this honor stand for their veggies for supper every night. It wasn’t long before the culprit was discovered. The culprit was the idiot son whose parents lived in the area. The parents made the idiot child return the cash box, apologize to the stand’s owner, and stand by the roadside with a sign stating the he was the thief. Nothing like a good public shaming to get their mind right.

Massachusetts here. We have an honor system vegetable stand here. Some days the till is a little short but on other days there is too much money. I think folks just didn't have the right change on some days so leave extra next time they stop by. I love the way it works out. You are a great guy. Don't let this one bad egg sour you. Most folks are honest and grateful!! 😊
