  • @Marinemom75
RIP Dr. McClelland so glad we have this piece of history recorded
  • @sherrymcmullin1914
This man is the epitome of professionalism. So much respect. In awe of his ability to recall everything about this day. ❤

Humility and integrity. Not many people left like this gentleman. What a great interview.

Such a gentleman. So cordial and right to the point. I wish we could have thousands of doctors like him today. Quality men like this are a rare breed today.
  • He didn't choose to be such an integral part of this story - history chose him and he answered the call as best he could. After reading countless articles and interviews about Trauma Room One, I can't believe anyone would think these doctors at Parkland did anything but try all they could to save JFK.

If you want to know exactly what happened in the ER room, listen to this man. Very intelligent, no forgotten information, and a straight to the point guy. He’s not an “old fart” out of his mind, government lackey.
  • I was in 5th grade in Ft. Wainwright, Alaska when our teacher made the announcement that Kennedy had been shot. I will turn 70 next month and I can honestly say that no other event in my lifetime affected me as much as this did. You could just feel the gloom and sadness everywhere. Thank you for your sincere and honest interview.

I was 13 that day, and remember it like it was yesterday. Today, I'm a physician, Internal Medicine, not Surgery, and I have some knowledge of the state of medicine in the early '60s. This account is as horrifying as the event itself. A five inch hole blown out of the man's head? Incomprehensible. His (severed) cerebellum fell out of the wound onto the cart? Those kids were flying on adrenaline and pure instinct, putting in an ET tube and starting a trache. Things had to have been spinning so fast they never even took a full look at Kennedy. Dr McClelland had to have realized within microseconds that there was no possibility of salvaging the man. Fifty nine years later, I still hope the truth eventually comes out as to who did it, who ordered it, and why, no matter how catastrophic those facts may be. RIP Mr Kennedy. With all his faults, he is probably the last president we as a nation trusted and had faith in. As I tell my now adult kids, the 1960s were really, really bad years.

We need to be downloading and keeping vids like these before they are removed for good!

Excellent interview. Thank God it was recorded. The Dr.'s testimony is 100% valid. The most in depth interview with an expert who lived to see it.
  • Why is nobody saying that The fact he agrees that he got shot in the front of the head would literally mean there would’ve had to been two shooters and that one got away?
  • His memory is so good because horrible things impress us deeply. I don't remember what happened at school that morning, but I recall every word said, every action done, after we found out about the assassination. This was a remarkable interview, well done by the questioner and the doctor.
  • A piece of unforgettable history that this man and his peers participated in, the value of his experience and his recounting of this for the world to hear is a precious and irreplaceable interview, in particular because this brave man has now departed. Eye witnesses to this event are slowly disappearing and its incumbent to keep this alive for generations ahead to fully understand what happened that day in 1963 in Dallas.

He is such a wonderful man. Such a gentleman and humble. Clearly this is something that he has remembered with such clarity because it was such a tragedy. I can’t imagine how horrific this was for all the ER staff at Parkland. Thank you sir for your account of this horrific death. Thank you to the interviewer as well. Asking the right questions and giving the doctor plenty of time to answer.
  • @mrsflo580
She handed his BRAIN to the doctor? Oh my word. How did she not lose her mind after that? Oh my word. Praise God for His comfort to her.
  • It's pretty incredible listening to how SHARP this man still is... It's crazy to think about the fact that he can still recall SO much, in such vivid detail... May he RIP🙏
