Even if you hate musicals, I promise you're gonna love this show. Most of the songs are NOT your typical Disney Princess affair and and almost all are bangers like Adam's "Hell Is Forever." Plus the story and character arcs are great too. I hope you watch the rest of the show. It's more than worth it.

the show is a musical, i think there are 2 songs per episode. but it is cool how diverse their songs are. as opposed to helluva boss where the songs are generally diegetic, hazbin hotel is more of a "spontaneous singing" type thing

Funny you should mention Adam’s performance is like Jack Black because Alex Brightman, Adam’s VA, actually performs the lead of the School of Rock broadway musical! He matches his energy so well!

That first song of the show taught us three major points of the show’s world : 1/ Charlie is a disney princess 2/ getting into singing is so normal in this hell that seemingly everyone just go with the flow when it happens 3/ contrary to how it usually works, the singers aknowledge what’s happening around him, and the world can and will interfere with the song in gruesome ways XD

Quick summary of Lilith’s story, since you were wondering. She’s known mainly from a book of folklore separate from the original Torah (like religious fanfic, so she isn’t accepted as the first woman). She wouldn’t be beneath Adam sexually, and ran away when he refused to listen to her. The folktales go on to say she attacks children, but Lilith’s base tale of being the first woman has taken a resurgence in modern stories, like Hazbin, Supernatural and others.
