I totally get what you mean by getting tired of certain genres because their sound starts to become overall monotonous- and now that I'm listening to you talk about it, perhaps that's why I really enjoy XG too. TGIF was such a 180 from LeftRight and Shooting Star, and I wasn't into it at first. But I found myself warmed up to it later because it was a different sound. Then this summer bop came and its a new vibe too. Versatile sound! Maybe that's what we're all craving and why we like XG. Something else I'm really loving from some reactions to this MV (including yours!) is pointing out the Hinata dance scene (6:00) and how genuinely fun you can tell they're having. I really love moments like that!!
