Hello everyone! I am as excited as you are to share with you my cool experience in my first ever trip to Ryogoku, Tokyo, Japan. It was all such a surreal experience and I'm clearing out the cobwebs off my channel to share with you what I've discovered in Japan, people I've met, and all the other cool stuff around the Kokugikan during the September Grand Sumo Tournament. I will edit as fast as I can, but for now, please enjoy this short teaser! :)

this is so exciting!!! I love your channel so much, I'm still relatively new to the world of sumo (I started watching during the January basho this year) but I'm obsessed now and your channel was a great resource for a newbie to learn more, very glad and looking forward to your future videos!

So happy for you that you got to travel to Tokyo and see in person a Grand Sumo Tournament. Ter, we greatly admire your understanding of the history and cultural context of sumo, and your talent for explaining it effectively to us gaijin. Have missed your videos -- and your insights -- and look forward to seeing what's in store. Blessings to you !!
  • OMG!! Enjoy so much Tokyo and all it has to offer! At the subway station go visit the sumo area where they have a Dohyo and also a shop with all things sumo, I totally advise buy the rikishi cookies if they have it..they are delicious and fun to see the rikishis as cartoon. Also there are a lot of shops in the area with sumo souvenirs, and restaurants to try Chanko-nabe. Have a great time and looking forward to your content 😊

LET'S GOOOOO!!! SUMOSTEW IS BACK! After this "Wacky Aki" basho this was such a pleasant surprise!! I hope you try some good chanko-nabe to live up to your channel name Sumostew! "Chanko Kawasaki" is a great place that is very close to the Kokugikan and has very good ratings. Can't wait to see what's to come!

Hype hype hype my all time favorite sumo creator has returned :D
  • This is awsome! If we can get detailed reporting (a la Chris Sumo) with SumoStew's modern video production it would be the perfection!
