After more than two decades in country music, it's hard to imagine that the Tennessee-born Atkins could still treasure the difficult moments and the arduous process of creating a song from the ground up. But he's just the kind of artist who loves the roots as much as the tree. With six No. 1 hits under his belt, four studio LP's and over 13 million units sold, Atkins is more invested than ever in making honest, authentic records that tell a story and showcase his unique place in the world, which is exactly what he does on his forthcoming fifth LP

In 2014 (inside of about 30-40 days) I received a 42% pay cut, had a head on/sideswipe wreck with an 18 wheeler and my premature baby got put in the hospital for failure to thrive. This became my anthem. As the light at the end of the tunnel got closer I'd hear this song on days when something good happened. I currently make double what I made prior to the paycut, drive a new Tundra and that premature little girl now down gymnastics like an Olympian. God is good and this song is awesome!
  • I lost my son in March 2022. He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Army, 22 years in and 2 months from his 40th birthday. Trea took his life! 6 deployments, 1st CAV Infantry! 22 a Day!! Too many! My baby Boy! Thank you for this song!😀❤️🙏

Cancer....2020.... Cured 2022. Two years cancer free!!! But this was my song.
  • My daughter was 2 when she was diagnosed with Leukemia. This was "Her Song"! Every time we drove to Childrens Hospital she would belt it out the best she could. We sang it on repeat for miles and miles. Shes been off treatment 3 years now and I still tear up every single time I hear it play.

This was the last song my dad heard. Before he passed away. He had cancer and was scared about dying. I felt that this song came at a crucial time in his life. And as a pastor. It gave him some peace.
  • My son had a brain tumor several years ago. I played this song for him all the time in the hospital and when we got home. He fought until he was back to normal for the most part. Thank you Rodney for this inspiring song
  • My prayers go out to Rodney Atkins and his family, just lost their 19 year old son in a drowning accident , my heart goes out to them 😞
  • I can never thank you enough for this song! In 2016 I was diagnosed with invasive stage 2 breast cancer which required a complete mastectomy along with lymph node removal. I chose this song as my 'fight song'......I listened to it every day - sometimes twice a day. It kept me positive.....motivated....and ready to tackle the next day. LOVE IT Rodney Atkins!!!! Thank you SO MUCH for your music. You definitely have a 'forever fan' ;)
  • Who is here 2035? It’s been a hell of a year. If you can remember six years ago, I know it seems like it’s so far away but we live different life. Just know that there’s other people out here fighting to get back what we lost. I know it seems like none of us are gonna make it right now and some days. I wonder myself, but if you’re reading this right now and obviously you’re still fighting other people in the camps well I can’t stick around too long so I’ll leave you with this section c48 remember The Tree Men are coming.

When my son received a head shot in AFG about 9 yrs ago, this was the song that was playing that lit his eyes up after the surgeries and wondering the extent of his brain damage. This was his go-to song as he was going through some tough physical therapy and recovering what he was able to recover physically and mentally. I am so impressed with that kid. And for the record- he's doing well. This song will be one of both of our favorites! He took the bit in his mouth and just kept going and he's on the other side and doing fine. Thanks for that song. Its message is a good one.
  • This song always moves me, but the comments this song inspires moves me in ways only God can explain... it is pure life rendered into words.

This song saved my ass when I was going through my rehab off of drugs and I'm never going to forget it and every time I feel down and I feel sad and I feel kind of helpless I put this on and reminds me where I was and where I'm going I took a one-way ticket to the right world
  • @Georgyporchy
I'm a truck driver, I've been listening to this song every day, helps me get through my day... this virus shit is kicking my ass but I'm not gonna let it.. I'll keep on moving!

So true. I lost my 11yr old son this song came on the radio the day he pass away. Never give up no matter what your HELL is. There are angles on the street willing to hold your hand and pull back on your feet. Never give up
  • My dad passed away May 25th. This song got him through some difficult days. We even played it at his funeral. Thank you for this song.
