In this guide I'll walk you step by step through installing the Lunatic Pandora mods for your Final Fantasy 8 Remastered game! If you have any questions, issues, or anything else to say then leave a comment and I'll see if I can help you out! The mod isn't 100% complete so some of the HD backgrounds like Balamb Garden and the towns aren't included but a public version is getting released soon (TM). If you want them, you can find the most up-to-date version of these mods at the creators Patreon with a SeeD membership ($2): www.patreon.com/mcindusmods

Below are the mod file download links and a link to a post to get these working on Steam Deck.

I've simplified the video a bit. If you would like the Gunblade Cursor and/or the Blue Gradient textures you can download them here: drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1J-MYxTBRJK4pIP… Steam Deck users will need to follow a few extra steps to get the mods working that can be found here: steamcommunity.com/app/1026680/discussions/0/35933… I've created another channel specifically for my video game guides where I will be uploading this video in the future so it doesn't get mixed in with my playthroughs and end up lost forever. I'll leave this guide here since it seems to be getting some traction but all future guides will be uploaded to youtube.com/@VestikStudio.

Thanks for the tutorial! Really wish this modder releases the upscaled pre-rendered backgrounds mod eventually. Been waiting years for that to release.

  • Thanks Man! I'll be streaming this game for the first time after just finishing this! Very relaxing tutorial sir!

Thanks for this, there's not much info regarding modding FF8 compared to FF7 and FF9.

Wow dude thanks. You simplified it and made it easy for my 40 y/o brain to understand. I can play FF8 again now the way it was meant to look. Cheers.

Amazing video, thank you very much! Easy to follow without any unnecessary tangents. Very well done! Hope, we'll soon get the missing backgrounds as well. . I have one or rather two questions though: - is there any way to change the resolution after installing the modified installer? When i click on the game in Steam it jumps right into the game. - are there any other known mods that enable widescreen support? I play in fullscreen mode with native monitor resolution yet the game only plays in a "square" in the middle of the screen.
