Periphery's Spencer Sotelo sings through their new single "Wildfire" from start to finish, live and in one take for the first time ever! Prior to this video, he'd never sung the song all the way through!

Find out how he did and hear from him how he thought it went! Is he ready for the tour?

Here's the link to the original video... Be sure to watch it again :)

Absolutely insane how good Spencer is. In a band filled with as much talent as Periphery has, it's easy for some to forget how incredible he is.

When I Periphery for the first time I honestly thought there were two vocalists. One clean, one screamer. I didn’t think one person could be doing all of what he does. Just goes to show how insanely talented Spencer is.

I just hate when all the bath times stink. I feel ya Spencer.
  • @BretSilverberg
This band's humbleness-to-talent ratio is off the charts.

The progress of Spencers vocals over the years are a clear sign of absolutely mind-boggling dedication. He seems so perfectly aware of everything he does, I've even seen comments of him apologizing for a "weak performance" under some live videos, when he didn't feel that well with what he brought to the table. Even though there were so many people giving him a bad time for how he approached song writing and vocals in general, I feel like he himself is his own "worst" critic. Hats off!
  • Absolutely impressive AF. You can tell this is not a forgiving song for a live performance, but Spencer just knocks it out of the park.

Just saw them in Montreal. I am a guitarist and was going to see a guitar performance. Spencer stole the whole fucking show. I was absorbed by his stuning flawless singing on each song. For some vicious screame he sounded even better then the album. This guy is a beast.

This is so amazing! Spencer will always be one of my favorite vocalists. His voice on P5 makes me too happy.

Not to discredit the rest of the guys in Periphery (they're all amazing) but Spencer's performance on P5 brings everything together in a really special way. Loved seeing him do this.
  • This is absolutely mind-blowing. Spencer is one of the greatest. What a one-shot performance !!!

Damn this rips. Spencer just keeps getting better and better.

Unbelievable that he can capture the intensity of a stacked vocal in a one take like this for the first time inSANE

Holy shit that was a legit performance. I was running through the vocals in my head as he was singing them and thinking, “where the hell does he get a chance to breathe?” Lol. Seeing it performed this raw and accurate makes me appreciate the performance all that much more.
  • @njsteere
That fact he can do this live, on stage, moving around/performing is insane.
  • @VulgrDisplay
The heartbeat haunts me portion is so damn haunting. Spencer is one of the best of all time.

It’s crazy to hear the juggling between the “scream singing” and clean vocals in that first pre-chorus. They probably recorded those parts separately and then overlayed them on the record. The live delivery is so good! Good capture Chris
