If they're easier to make, these one take videos are just as entertaining imo, not overly produced just your opinions and some B roll 👌

Still an awesome car. Your original series bringing the factory 488 back to the UK is still a real highlight of the channel for me, been back to it several times!
  • 13:30 A Ferrari and a Toyota 4x4 meet on a single-lane road and it's the Ferrari who pulls onto the grass, I felt that
  • I love my ‘17 488 spider. I purchased it in 2021 with 6000 miles on it and now have 12000. Have continued to carry the power 15 warranty after the first two yr certification, and plan to continue to do so as my dealer is 140 miles away. Only issue has been a dead battery, the shifts, the sounds, the feel of the machine on the road is intoxicating. I have a ‘17 Porsche 911 4S, and a 2021 GT 500 in the garage as well. My drive choice is always the Ferrari over those other fine cars. There’s just something emotionally satisfying with the 488, the Porsche is too well behaved and muted and the GT 500 too raw for my tastes. Of the three the 488 gets the most conversation followed by the GT, kids and women especially notice, especially when they see a woman getting out of the car.

458 is the forever car, but if values for those go crazy before I get one then the 488 will be a very solid back up plan.
  • @cranck07
458 is the one. Last in class from a great brand, looks good and drives fantastic. It's only going to go up in value.
  • @richboy900
The 458 is the one imo. The last naturally aspirated V8 supercar Ferrari. They'll go up in a few years, mark my words. I do think the standard 488 (not pista) was underappreciated however
  • I prefer the cleaner purer lines of the 458 but a 488 with warranty and more performance is the better answer
  • @theantler3625
Chris Harris also previously said that the 458 was already too digital and that you might as well just get the 488 instead
  • @MW-uy3np
side slip 7 doesn't work on a lot of Pista's I see being shunted. I do like the looks of the 488 and the interior looks like it will age very well. In the states the 488 are between $225 and $300k USD. Still very expensive. So many options in that price range.
  • The 458 will forever have the reputation of being the modern day pin up car. It’s the one car that even people who aren’t interested in cars know the shape of. It’s quite literally the car of the era (early 21st century)
  • @sdd1994
The problem of the 488 is the 458.

Thank you Sam! Currently on a (re) watch of the Drive The Wolrd videos and can I say, thank you for all those epic adventures, what a drive that was indeed. Really enjoyed, hopefully a new DTW video series for other parts of the world, will happen soon. Standout videos, I watched the wild and crazy, Kansas Porsche 917 city drive video and the cool Biarritz stop over video, first class 👍
  • After so much struggles I now own a new house and my family is happy once again everything is finally falling into place!!🇺🇲🇺🇲
  • @somebloke2238
How about a 599? 612 horsepower Enzo derived V12 for 90-odd grand. Sounds pretty good to me
  • Unlike many who comment here I have been privileged to own a 360/430/488 spider typically for 3 years, have tracked each one as well as epic longer trips to Le Mans etc Each in it’s time has been the best sports car I’ve ever owned utterly amazing Each is a better car in every way than it’s predecessor I decided on a 488 as I thought it looked more modern and timeless and it’s handling / performance / sound is incredible. Service costs have been nil and insurance sensible I think the ‘fashionable’ comments about noise trotted out usually by those who have never owned one are ridiculous The 488 is wonderful BobH
  • You're right. The 488 is the best modern-day Ferrari you can buy. The episode you drive a 488 from the factory is one of my favorite episodes.
  • If your buying a Ferrari it’s a great day regardless of model. I love both the 458 and 488 and although at first I didn’t like the look of it at first I think the f8 might be the one to have in the long run.
  • @RobGalvin65
I totally agree with you Sam. Last year I went shopping to add either a 458 or 488 to my garage, I really didn't care which. The internet was telling me 458. But after driving both several times I just couldn't understand it, the drive of the 488 was just sooo much better, faster, and had a far more modern feel, and sounded great too. I took my own council and bought a 488GTB, and it ain't going nowhere, I love it, it's a fantastic supercar, and better than most new offerings.
  • @darkblueturbo
Sold here mate! Never really been desperate for a Ferrari on the dream list, but you've added a 488 to my lotto win / dream job list.
