  • I love Huckleberry. I'm sorry he didn't get along with the baby beaver. She's so sweet. I'm glad to see Huckleberry so healthy and happy!💕
  • @Piarou
His sounds are so freakin' cute. Also, I keep forgetting how large his hind-feet are. Really amazing animals, beavers.

Preferring to eat the fresh food first makes sense, because the twigs will keep good if he leaves them, but he’s not willing to risk his fresh produce spoiling before he can eat it. Of course, he probably doesn’t think exactly that, it’s probably guided by beaver instinct that knows that twigs are storable food.

He’s so cute! It’s such a shame that he and piya didn’t get along. Also, it’s crazy how cleanly he stripped the bark off of those logs.

"The price of admission is one slice of yam, please." 🦫🍠

Huck's adorable. I wonder if they make those little noises when they eat in the wild.
  • He is one adorable beaver, great vocalizations. He really wasn’t impressed by that empty bowl though…love it.🖤🇨🇦

Great to see breakfast for the most famous beaver on the Internet! Watching the animals on Animal Wonders is always educational and informative, to go along with the animals' off-the-scale cuteness. I understand the lesson about scattering Huckleberry's veggies so that he can forage for them, just as he would in the wild. I have adopted a bunny, originally Easter purchase by the young family next door. He's eight months old, and doing great on Timothy Hay, feed pellets from the local pet supply store, and lots of love. He has a big dog crate as his "little house", but I let him free roam almost all the time, after he taught me the need to bunny-proof the house, especially electrical cords, which he imagines are roots growing into his den. I was amazed to learn that rabbits were only domesticated around 1,500 years ago, so biologically and behaviorally, they must be a lot closer to their wild ancestral type in the highlands of Spain and France than our domestic cats and dogs, domesticated thousands of years earlier. I try to be mindful of his evolutionary past in my care for him, keeping his temperature, diet, and other environmental factors in the range that his ancestors evolved in. But, that being said, he's clear in communicating with me that he also shows his recent history of evolution under domestication... and that includes snuggles and petting! I love the science and the love for animals that come out in equal measure in these videos. Thank you, Huckleberry, Jessi, and Animal Wonders Montana, for all that you teach us, and we'll see you in the next video!

Hmm, I see some sticks that have been chewed on by Huckleberry and that might be turned into neat ballpoint pens by some enterprising individual ... 🤔
  • @Pixaley
Okay, we need an animal squeeakathon!! Kizi, Sera, Huck, Kemo, Mimi, Zee... for a charity drive?
  • @fishea
I love beavers – ever since David Attenborough first told me they have iron oxides in their teeth, I have been like, whoa. You treat Huckleberry so well. Yes!
  • @avoisin
I'm so amazed at how well Huck is moving now! I don't think I'd even notice otherwise. He's a lucky fella to have found a home there.
  • @parisinthe30sx
Does huckleberry have a secured pond/pool that he can go in? The little stream/pond that kenan from camp kenan made for his monitor (I think that's what he is) is really cool and natural looking. I bet huckleberry would benefit from such enrichment
  • @ButtersTheBean
His little nom noises are so cute! I also love the name Huckleberry.
  • @Danika_Nadzan
Yay! A Huckleberry video! And nothing is better than watching him eat and hearing him talk...he's way up there on the cuteness scale with Kemosabe on that. Huck has come such a long way since he came to you as a little mite...shows what great care and lots of love can do!🥰🥰
  • @shellyrae777
I swear Huckleberry said “Yum” after getting the yam.
  • @leia3618
His little noises are ADORABLE!! He's almost as cute as Kemosabe & Serafina!!
