"I am you, the dark side of your soul. The one you don't want, but the one you need when things get rough. The one to stand up to those that wrong you."
  • @arwamh.1699
Red is like the eclipse where light and dark come together🌗
  • This video is so very different than anything I have seen her do. It's very earthy and dramatic with color and wind and the pyramids behind her making a true artistic video. Love it!

Yin and yang .. I am decades long hard rock/ metal fan. YET Lindsey is my guilty secret pleasure I guess. Addicted to her uniqueness. Her music talent, mixed with her dance motions. Like a cobra swaying back and forth. She has me mesmerized. Another thumbs up!

Lindsey, You have inspired me to become a violinist. It has been 3 years and I have learned to play a lot of your songs. I am now producing my own music. Thank you so much for inspiring me and helping me find my passion ❤ Please like this comment so she can see this 🫶
  • Wasn't it " you'll never be popular and won't ever fill a concert hall" lol at 2 days after post this has almost half a million views :P love it and love the music :)

Is the record label giving her creative freedom back? This feels like the old LindseyStomp days, and I'm there for it.
  • My teacher put roundtable rival on in gym class, and i right away recognized the song. i was so happy, can't wait till this is out! 2 days left

With the overall theme of "Duality", I'm thinking that the story here is "good" vs "evil", but they are all sides to the same person. Black and White being the concept of yin and yang, and perhaps Red being the individual as a whole? By the end, Red accepts both sides of herself, causing the war within herself to settle. At least, this is my immediate interpretation haha! Absolutely love this song and the use of the violin and vocals to represent the different characters!

"Ah, it's swords and sandals Lindsey Stirling." "But that's not a sword..." "In her hands, yes it is!"
  • Imagine being able to say "I filmed a music video in freaking EGYPT." God she's come a long way from filming in an ice sculpture in Colorado.

This one was pretty different. It has more modern elements than I expected. I thought the intro part would come later in the song. 0:08 I love that there are not a lot of instruments in this part. It feels like it describes the calmness of the desert. Nice shot of stone blocks. Nice tone of the drum. 1:24 Interesting drums sound again — like tuned down frame drum. The texture of the fabric on her dress matches the lines on the pyramids. Nice detail. 1:55 The wavy color pattern matches the wavy texture of the dunes. Environmental fashion :D 3:31 That is a pretty reflection in the eyes.

When I saw 0:22 for the first time, there was only one word in my mind: "Wow" - and this word describes the whole video. Especially if you know the stories behind the scenes, how difficult everything was, from outfit changes to editing. (And that's why I love behind the scenes stuff. With that in mind, I appreciate the videos even more).

The only thing more mesmerizing than Lindsey in this video is her DRESSES. This is so amazing. The power and skill...I can't say enough.

Another comment, if you don't mind... I used to be my elementary school's Science Lab Teacher. During my breaks, I would allow the visiting Violin Teacher to use mr lab as a classroom. While she was unpacking and sitting up her stuff, I would play your videos on the big projection board at the front of the room for the kids (all girls). They loved the videos and music, and the Violin Teacher told me that they inspired her students to do their best.
  • It’s awesome to see how far she’s come since the tiny venues and ice sculpture video. I think the black outfit is extremely striking on her. All the costumes are lovely, but the black one is my favorite.
