The Untapped Potential of Goldenflower (Warrior Cats Character Analysis)

I always figured the way Fireheart treated Bamblekit/paw was trauma. It's one thing that he got to see how bad Tigerclaw was before everyone else, but Tigerclaw did almost let him drown one time. If Longtail hadn't saved him (a great character moment for him btw) he would have died.

the fact that tigerclaw’s father left to become a kittypet really explains why he has so much hatred for them. he was most definitely thinking his father didn’t want him anymore, therefore planting a thought in his mind that kittypets are bad.

You know, I always forget that Goldenflower actually made it to the lake territories. In my mind, I always thought she had become an elder before then, and had decided to stay behind in the old forest to die. This really goes to show how little Goldenflower is used in the books; she’s utilized so little to the point I completely forgot she was there in the New Prophecy at all

I can only imagine how she felt when Brambleclaw and Tawnypelt were gone, especially when she already lost Swiftpaw. :(

Oh my gosh I just realized that Brambleclaw, Tawnypelt, Feathertail and Stormfur were all nursed together and then went on the journey together.

I love Goldenflower! She's really strong and compassionate. Also I think it would be cool if we got a short story detailing her and Tigerstar's relationship.

3:34 May I point out that perhaps her not being bigoted towards Graystripe's kits was because she grew to realize she had been wrong about Cloudkit having seen him survive and grow? It could have been unspoken character development.

Was it confirmed that her first mate was patchpelt, tigerstar's uncle, which would also make tigerstar swifty's cousin. Warriors family relations are soo odd sometimes, and from a human perspective, would make some things really awkward. Anyway, seen a ton of fans mention they'd like a goldenflower novella, and of course I agree, but we just gotta have patience, the Erin's will make as many books on as many characters as they can. Something that is really great about not having a ton of background on a character, is when they do get their own story, it makes things a lot more interesting. I mean Goldenflower is swiftpaw's mom, I'd love to read about that, and how she must of felt knowing that the cat she gave her heart to is essentially responsible for her son's death. Just gotta have patience, goldenflower will get her time in the sun, and it will be golden.

Goldenflower is my absolute favorite cat in the entire series. I wish the Erins would have utilized her more. But I'm hopeful that someday they'll give her a novella so we can see how she felt with everything going on. I'd love if it could be called Goldenflower's Guilt, detailing how she felt having been Tigerstar's mate and everything that comes with it, including the ostracizing of her younger children and the death of her oldest. I want to see how she reacted finding out Tawnypaw moved to Shadowclan. How did she feel about moving territories? (I imagine along the way she randomly said something like "when we get there, I'd like to retire to the elder's den" and that's the reason for her abrupt roll change). I especially want to know: did she live long enough to meet her grandchildren, the three? There's still so much to explore with Goldenflower. She was the best queen (imo, of course), and an unintentionally amazing character. Thank you for discussing her. Your analysis videos have been so enjoyable to watch/listen to

I really like goldenflower! She is often forgotten because well her death was OFF SCREEN! I think she should have had a bigger role in the books. She's the wife of tigerstar damn it! She needs a novella or a graffic novel or something, I want to know about her and tigerstar's life together, her reaction to mothwing and hawkfrost, more an when tawnypelt left, and her thoughts when tigerstar was found to be an evil serial killer.

We need a goldenflower super edition about how she and tigerstar got together and just her character as a whole

You just gave me the idea for an AU where Pinestar leaves ThunderClan to be a kittypet but takes Tigerkit with him (Tigerkit chose to leave, I should say that), leading LEOPARDFOOT to try and do a search-and-destroy mission on Pinestar just to get her "perfect" kit back. But it turns out that Tigerpaw/claw (whichever stage of his life he'd be at) pretty much decided to be a vigilante loner for ThunderClan, trying to solve issues before they get big.

Goldenflower has stated a few times in the books that she loved Tigerclaw, and was devastated by what he became. One of the Erins said to tigerclaw his feelings for goldenflower were just that she would be the perfect mother for his kits and that to tigerclaw his relationship with her was like spiderleg’s relationship with daisy, but goldenflower did love tigerclaw

I just realized that maybe part of the reason Tigerstar goes on his murderous tirade against the half-clan cats in riverclan is that he was angry at featherpaw and stormpaw for getting the same love and affection as his children from Goldenflower. Obviously he's also driven by disturbing, bigoted ideology as well, but I hadn't considered his personal hatred towards Greystripe's kits.

If the Erins won't give us Goldenflower content, we'll make it ourselves and treat it as canon instead >:D But seriously she needs a SE so badly. She deserves it more than fucking Onestar. She's so interesting and the way she took it Feather and Storm was so cute. They really did this character dirty because she could've been so much more. I actually think she could've been a good choice for deputy and paralleled Tigerstar far better than Bramblestar did but maybe that's a stretch

Also I honestly thought Goldenflower died in the second book of TNP, sense I didn’t remember her in the rest of those books.

I love goldenflower so much and I never quite could figure out why she stuck out so much to me but you put it very well into words. Great video!

I know that it’s said Swiftpaw’s dad is Patchpelt but I think it would be Way cooler if he was actually half clan and golden’flower had at some point been in a relationship with a cat from a different clan (that I would assume didn’t last long) it make sense why she cares so much for grey’stripes kits cause her own kit was half clan, I also know the forbidden romance plot or really over used nowadays but it also help with the genetic diversity in thunder clan.

i love all the perma queens, apecifically daisy however no matter how much she annoys every one else
