I know some commenters may be tempted to say, "They lost; why be triumphant about it?" It was all about the Livgardet being true to their oaths, which they certainly were. The video shows our Sabaton stand-ins looking out at a veritable horde of Ottomans before squaring up and going right to it. Devotion to duty is not a bad thing and is in fact a military virtue in itself. If I might be pardoned referring to another military, the Foreign Legion makes a great deal out of Camerone, one of the classic shaftings they've had in their history and a far more comprehensive decimation of stubborn soldiers by a superior force.
