The nice thing about this season is that Ulong demonstrates they have the capability to win, so it never gets too boring. They keep finding new and creative ways to lose. With Ravu, on the other hand, it was clear they would probably lose everything.

I’ve never watched a single episode of survivor. Let’s watch a 20 minute video essay on it.

I love how Steph said she almost dislocated her shoulder, and then ten seasons later she actually does. Painful Foreshadowing
  • Not gonna lie, Jeff getting sent home for his ankle is a smarter decision than I thought Oolong was capable of

when they complain about the other team using strategy, calling them weak for thinking their moves through, it really shows that they won't be winning much anytime soon.

That professionally made shelter is still the best tribal reward I've ever seen.

the real annoying thing is they had so many chances to pull back, time and time again a member shows a sense of leadership and responsibility, but minor pet peeves every single time cause them to chase them off, like "oh he's too fatherly" c'mon!

"Every single episode was nothing but dismay" that is literally in the series of unfortunate events theme song

Them getting rid of Jolanda was their first & biggest mistake to me. They were a group of misfits that needed leadership badly but they were too stubborn to listen.

"We're stronger" proceeds to fail the physical section of the challenge

I don’t feel bad for Ulong they were very arrogant and couldn’t handle the thought of authority which led to them all being lazy and failing miserably
  • @bongchoof
I like how James asking if someone needs help actively annoys his tribesmates. Good lord.

Jolanda: “my whole tribe fell apart after I left”
  • @tjflash60
James "we're gonna do democracy" ha ha ha ha ha what a dumpster fire. Imagine "using strategy in challenges".
  • I think Ulong is why they keep doing tribe switches every season; and it’s ironic it didn’t happen in a season that very much needed one

Koror won the water challenge because they took advantage of the water level going around the track. They blazed through the shallows while taking it slow in the deeper end whereas Ulong just powered through the whole way. In the end, Koror had the stamina to catch Ulong.
  • Props to Jeff for sacrificing himself after realizing he wouldn’t be able to help out his team. I respect that he let himself get voted out to save Ulong...it’s just unfortunate he had to watch the downward spiral after he left.

"we're gonna do democracy" establishes a failed anarchist tribe like a boss
  • @LadyRavenEyes
i feel like they don't understand how democracy works. Everyone doing what they want is anarchy not democracy. Democracy still requires a leader
  • This is a great example of why leaders exist in the first place. Everything becomes chaos and nothing gets done. A leader delegates task so they get done among other things.
