Dr Mike is not ready for Rick's antics
-
he's not throwing up, he's just always drunk.
-
As a biologist, I feel obligated to mention that these "E. coli" look a lot more like bacteriophages
-
I love this so much, my favourite part is Mike trying to figure out what's wrong with Rick after I've assumed it's just alcoholism...he might be right tbh, would be an interesting twist if Rick had a really bad disease.

“Oh sorry, I was thinking of a T-Rex. Run!!!”
-
The thing that bothered me most about this episode, was that as soon as Santa’s body is enlarged to an entire continent, the blood cells would be larger than regular bodies(ish). And yet, the blood that explodes over the USA is regular liquid.

If you see this show and ask yourself "I wonder why they used x to represent y", just know that the most important motif is that everything is decorated with, as they're known in the medical circles, testis.
-
He keeps belching. The joke is that Rick is perpetually drunk. Just absolutely completely wasted and constantly vomits from the alcohol. You really should watch the show from start to finish. It's a really good show and then you can also go ahead and watch BoJack horseman. That's another really good show. Not medical just on your time off.

“Wubba Lubba Dub Dub” (I am in great pain, please help me)
-
This is the earliest I’ve ever been to a Dr. Mike video
-
I love how he judges cartoons with his medical knowledge
-
Rather than correcting the medical accuracy, Mike enjoys these shows, like a child😂. I love it❤

10:12 One of the things every 90’s and early 2000’s kid remembers reading in a kids magazine is that: If an atom were the size of a pea, a molecule would be the size of a marble, a white blood cell would be the size of a cruise ship, and a human would be the size of North America. Rick enlarged Ruben to get Morty and Annie back to normal size quickly.

Lol i think Hep C taking out Hep A was just a nod to Jurassic Park
-
I never thought I'd see Dr. Mike react to Rick and Morty, but I'm here for it.

Basically Rick is an irreverent, alcoholic version of Doc Brown from Back to the Future. If you haven't watched more of the series, it gets twisted. You might enjoy the episode where they turn the world into 'Kronenbergs' cause Morty wants effectively a love potion to get with his current crush, and it ends up making the entire planet fall into zombie love with him, ended in global mutations requiring them to transplant themselves into an alternate reality in which both a Rick and Morty have recently died. It's a great/terrible show. I love it. It's like the evolution of The Simpsons and Family Guy.

"I see a lab coat, must be a doctor." I hate to break it to you, Mike...

Not to brag but I go to the med school that Barry Marshall and J. Robin Warren attended, who won the Nobel prize for their H. Pylori discovery in stomachs 🤓 RIP J. Robin Warren, who passed away just this past week ❤️
