What if Andrew Ryan Never Died and Escaped Rapture? | Bioshock 4 Fan Theory

To me, Ryan never really struck me as wanting to get out during that point of the story. With all of his defenses destroyed, and finally recognizing who Jack is, Ryan probably accepted his fate, be it with Jack killing him, or with the self-destruct sequence. He wants to use his last moments to show how much of a puppet that Jack has been, which is why he uses the phrase to compel Jack to kill him. Also, him wanting to escape Rapture after everything he did to keep it afloat would feel kind of out of character for him. Rapture is his dream project, his baby, and It makes more sense for someone like Ryan to engage in this kind of “captain sinks with his ship” scenario. This theory could make for a very good elseworld story though.

I've always wondered if he was regenerated in a Vita Chamber after being killed by Jack. Why not ...??? He could have had a faithful helper waiting nearby while he played through his game of "KILL!" with Jack. I'd like to think he had a well thought out contingency plan to carry on after Rapture. I secretly hope to see him again in Bioshock 4.

I'm also curious of what happens in the first colombia that booker and elizabeth leave behind, i wonder if it will eventually decend into war or comstock decides to blame the already dead slate for the murder of lady comstock and makes some kind of peace deal with fitzroy. Good video erik

I feel like Andrew Ryan will be the last person to leave rapture. I feel like he treats rapture like a ship, and that Every one else would leave but he would be the one to go down with rapture😊

I get the theory, but particularly I would rather if this never happens. Andrew Ryan was an anomaly of a character, one of the greatest villains of gaming history. One that was so perfectly written, that anything else he’s in would end up not being able to get the character to it’s full potencial. They tried to bring him back in 2 (though audio diaries) and Burial at Sea, but it just didn’t came close to the impact he had on the original game. I know, after infinite and the whole multiverse thing, anything is possible, and I would not object seeing the character in a cameo or in a painting or something like that. But making him the main villain again would be a wrong move, I think.

I was just thinking this two weeks ago when i beat bio 1. What if you had the ability to kinda choose or alter the story in a way? Side with ryan break the mind control kill fontaine maybe? How would that look or if you took up a more nutural position maybe?

Maybe Ryan didn't die since his son was under suggestive control, his father's death could have been what he saw but not what actually happened

He would probably end up having ownership ofa city on the surface where he would single handedly force his objectivism onto everyone much like prince Sebastian Lacroix did in vampire masquerade bloodlines where he had complete ownership over LA and went so far as to own the LAPD and SWAT even some of lacroix inner members hated the extreme levels of his objectivist dictatorial regime and Lacroix both looks acts and sounds like a younger version of Andrew Ryan

He had the means to clone himself, so it's's sort of believable. It would also be a cliche for a plot surrounding the sequel.

Who doesn't think he faked his death? It's very likely that he did.

Good Theory, I think the Only way they can actually Pull it off is if they somehow were able to top his death's purpose and explain a good reason why he faked his demise. then give him a another great plot. Kinda sounds impossible but maybe if the new game's writer is pretty solid. I think it's better to leave things as they are.
