the oxygen pump in the fridge room: probably to REDUCE oxygen, to prevent oxidation. vegetables with less oxygen will last longer because of less oxidation.
  • Calling the PLA a green water navy I can understand (although disagree), but calling it a brown water navy is 1) not even understand the concept of a brown water navy, as a force that operates in inland bodies of water (riverine and lake operations), examples of such is the Paraguayan navy, the bolivian navy and every major naval force of a landlocked nation) and 2) its completely disconected from reality, since saying the PLA is a brown water navy is sustaining that ships lile the Fujian operates only on the yangtse river, which is obviously not true. So I really dont understand people who sustaint such an absurd point

For the PLAN to be a true Bluewater navy, it needs much more supply ships than it currently has, especially since China lacks sufficient secure overseas naval bases.
  • A VERY Good perspective of the PLAN re-supply ships! As a USN Veteran of 20+ years, I DO Believe that PLAN is a 'Blue-Water' Navy!! It is Just the training that Makes a Navy! But, I am Glad that I 'Subscribe' to this Channel!!

a few years ago when i was a midschool student, i always see type 903 on magazines, following destoryers and frigates for overseas deployment, visiting europe ports, visiting Africa and visiting pearl harbor type 903 designed in 1990s shows the basic ship building skill of China which finally turns out to be massive production in 2010s type 903 shows high quality, better design and affordable price, and was designed in 1990s ahead of massive fleet build in 2000s and 2010s, actually shows PLANs strategy and full design of a overseas fleet one interesting thing is, type 901 are also ahead of carriers 003 into service by more than 5 years, thats shows what a real strong navy should do thanks for the video and congratulations, according to my research, this video is the very first detailed introduce of type 903 replenishment ship, real professor will look more on service ships than warships, which will decide more on the end

Thank you for another very informative video. These combat replenishment ships are not as exciting as other types of combat ships, but they are absolutely vital.

The Australian Navy has only 2 new Spanish/N.A.T.O. built Supply Ships. Both are currently broken with at least a year to repair, (under Warranty). Let's hope nothing kicks off before then, we'd hate to miss it! Peace.

Logistics is what wins wars. This is why engaging an opponent in their territorial area, where they enjoy a very superior logistical advantage, is never a good idea (as we are seeing in the Ukraine conflict right now).
  • 902少了。后续舰新技术多,定型以后也会上量
  • Are the cannons the ONLY defense? Can't they have onboard MANPADS? Or other ship-to-ship, ship-air, ship-sub, ship-land, ship-space(?) portable missiles or drones that can be fired by carried on board and manually fired? The ukraine-russian war has shown that these portable missiles/drone are being a deciding factor in waging battle/war.
  • 这些任务以后都由无人机群来完成,飞行员的工资甚至生活费都节省了。

I think the Chinese are underestimating the value of their supply ships. Given their size and importance to the fleet, they are high value target. Twin 37mm or single barrel 30mm are worthless against missile threats. They should be at least be armed with a HQ10 and AK630 for point defence.
  • Brown water navy is totally wrong, green water navy is debatable but after 003 goes into service I'd say it's definetly a blue water navy but there is still a long way to go probably 3 years until one could say they solved all their problems in every aspect. If construction keeps up like that they can definetly venture out regularly around the world even with 2 carrier groups for extended periods of time.
