My father just passed away last week at 97 years old and loved watching your videos. He wore his Diesel Creek T-shirt proudly.
  • @Sattracer
Really enjoyed this week's video Matt. Just an FYI, the type of person that watches your videos doesn't mind up to 2 hours for one video. Your kind of material is basically the saga of an old piece of history being restored to glory in a world where the newer things just cannot compete in hearty work. People like myself are there with you, living vicariously through your efforts. It really is a wonderful thing.

That parts washer is worth its weight in gold. There is just something really satisfying about not having to cover yourself in filth and getting a clean part to work with
  • No need to apologize Matt for what you do or don't complete. This for me was a great episode of the Autocar. Sparks flying, metal cut, welding, torching, cleaning and fabrication. What we all tune in to see in your videos. I'll be watching for your next episode on whatever it is you're working on Matt and thank you for keeping us entertained. Cheers from this old, retired coot living the dream in Tennessee.

"If only I had an overnight crane..." Can't wait to see your garage with an overhead crane in place. I'm guessing 250lb for the hub/brake drum.

Nothing better than a Diesel Creek video to start the day with. Good morning from Eastern Kentucky.

I'm pretty satisfied with the balance of focus between Autocar and other projects. Don't really care how quickly you finish because the fun is in the journey.
  • @Hoodie-xj2iv
I’m 21 years old and have absolutely no experience with heavy equipment or anything besides automotive but watching these videos brings me peace lol.

Matt, how much I respect you, man, for creating this channel. I admire the fact that, in addition to your professional work, you still have time to work with the camera and process the video material. Please don't change anything.❤❤❤❤
  • @BusterNoggins
My new fav. saying "Well it looks good when you turn the light off" I'm going to use this a lot !
  • @jenksify
Just to let you know Matt, it really doesn't bother us when you keep finding more and more things wrong. It just means more videos for us.😀
  • Do not sweat the Duration or length of project...We enjoy how much you enjoy doing it.
  • @maxinlux6570
The white and blue ball is now an integral part of the project. You will have to keep it with the truck for the rest of its life to avoid problems, breakdowns, fender-benders and the like. The dog can just collect sticks and branches from your woods!
  • @jimdean7335
My 2 year old granddaughter watched the entire episode with me. You have a new fan.

Remember the Time rule, if you are "confident" it'll take an hour, it'll take two... If you "think" it'll take an hour, it'll take three... If you "probably ,uh-er it'll take an hour" it'll take five... That applies to ALL trades and time frames ... Retired Carpenter, habitual tinkerer, novice mechanic, here... Appreciating your Content
  • @littlejason99
I love how Matt always says, "We" for doing everything. Don't you worry, we're here for ya moral support, and that's 24/7 bud!
  • As a retired pipe fitter/welder with 35 years experience, I have to say, you do nice work. Stay healthy, stay busy!
  • @tootired76
The 1957 Autocar is what brought me to this channel. Fun seeing the 1980 Autocar being worked on.
  • @bobhudson6659
"All I have to do is slap .........." Famous last words from Matt who surprisingly hasn't yet learned that jobs that are ALWAYS much bigger than expected. Retired mechanic/machinist in Land Down Under.
  • I'm almost 80 and still try to do some welding and DIY stuff. I started working in a truck shop out of High School wrestled with those truck wheels and I was about 135# then. Wouldn't want to do that anymore, but glad I learned how and know how it all works. Great to see you working in your real shop with real electricity and glad the Auto Car is getting attention!
