Wow, this series' Peter Pan is pretty spot on. To not have actually learned a lesson, but just to say "Whatever, I'm tired of this game anyway", is classic book Peter. Kudos to this animated series for not succumbing to the temptation of making him more typically good or heroic.

This always felt more like a season finale episode due to Peter tangling with a villain far above the threat level of the pirates who was able to threaten all of Neverland.

Peter Pan is such a selfish little asshole in this version and I find that hilarious. He's literally the cause of all of their problems. Half the villains wouldn't even be after him if he didn't start shit and piss them off to begin with.
-
And then years later the Ice King moved to The Land of Ooo and had to deal with his new foes Finn and Jake

Wow i love peter pans costume design and that music. Cartoons really had their shit together.

Hearing Jason Marsden voice Peter Pan makes me so happy :-D

I 'Member this show. I was born in 1988. Thus I'm a real 90s Kid with real 90s Childhood Experience (I could tell you where I was when Kurt Cobain died, what fads I bought into, what news events I 'member, and what Disney Movies I saw when they were new. Not like those silly Gen Z Kids who think being born between 1995 and 1999 makes them real 90s Kids). This show was part of my childhood. From 1996 (when I was in the 3rd Grade), to 1998 (when I was in the 5th Grade), I watched it in reruns on the Fox Kids Programming Block and thought it was cooler than the Disney Version. Then when I found out years later that this was based on the original books, I went out and read those for myself. Not to mention Tim Curry made an awesome Captain Hook!

Wendy, Tiger-Lily and Tinker Bell look SO beautiful, cute, sweet and adorable this way.

Jesus!! That music when the ice king made his entrance is so cool! It Made him sound so powerful and fearsome!

I remember reading the original book, years ago. The ending is actually kind-of a downer. Peter Pan returns Wendy and her brothers back to their to their home, and then flies back to Neverland, alright; but (MAJOR SPOILER WARNING) at first the children can still fly. So their mother ties them to bed every night, to prevent hem from flying back. Eventually they lose their ability to fly, because they lose their innocence over time (this isn't meant sexually). And all of the thoughts of the grimness of adult life, weigh the soul down. Wendy grows up; grows old, and dies. Meanwhile, a week after returning to Neverland, Tinkerbell also dies of old age; because fairies have very short lifespans. Peter forgets all about them, because grief and regret are part of growing up, and Peter is the boy who never grew up. So his not taking responsibility for anything, at end of this episode (much less apologizing to everyone for getting them all frozen solid) is in keeping with the book.

"you really like it wendy? then I'll give it to you.......OUCH!!" lol poor guy

There needs to be a DVD release with every episode one day.

How did I not realize this was Tim Currey as a kid, I mean heck I knew him right away when watching IT and Legend, wonder why I didn't pick up it was him in this
-
As a child I got to watch the first episode but i never got to finish it and as I grew up I forgot about this until now and now I am happy and currently crying ;)
-
Jason Marsden as Peter Pan kinda sound like Sonic The Hedgehog
-
I remember having a crush on red shirt boy. Guess I liked blondes 😂
-
Nostalgic child in me made sure I kept this show in my heart. Cocky Pan, expressive Japanese drawn animation and thumping music. I hear Pan is like the original creation.
-
Wow. I remember watching this as a kid.
-
Oh wow does this ever take me back way way back
-
you guys ever notice how you've NEVER seen Neverland and Toys R Us in the same place at the same time and they're BOTH places kids don't have to grow up in and kids love!!! #thinkaboutit  lmao
