That is EXACTLY why I am here!  I keep hearing BG2 is better than every other RPG to-date [04/14].

This is solid brother! Thank you for taking your time to make these !
  • Hey! Just wanted to say thanks for making this vid. I first played the normal edition of bg1 as a kid and completely forgot how to play since then after i stopped playing d&d. tried playing ee recently and was so lost, haha. these vids have been great way to catch up and get used to the rules again.
  • this is just what I was looking for man thanks a lot, make more!! suggestions, strategy etc
  • Exactly on point about that first comparisons! I'll admit I was pretty skeptical at first about how this old ass, dated game would suposely still hold up (and surpass) the current day standards for RPGs. Bought BG2EE on a Steam sale since I was curious, decided to give it a try. I spent the first couple hours frustrated and kinda clueless about the whole system (and I'm really familiarized with D&D 5E, and know 1 thing or 2 about 2e, mainly stuff like THAC0 and the lower your armor class is, the better). The time passed and I started getting surprised about how there's so much freedom of dialogue and options in the game (wasn't really familiar with a rpg in which choices aren't restricted to "yes" "yes, but sarcastically" "sure" "no (yes)"), how much personality the characters have, how they interact with each other and feel like actual human beings, the atmosphere, the story! I'm Currently on the 3rd chapter, a few vampires away from the Bodhi boss fight in the graveyard district, and can safely guarantee BG blows any AAA RPG from nowadays out of the water. Planning on buying the whole Infinity Engine pack from Steam whenever another new sale turns up, alongside with other stuff like The Temple Of Elemental Evil and Neverwinter Nights. Anyways, your videos are helping me a lot through the wonderful journey that is this series! Thanks, and cheers from Brazil

yeah man! Before I was like WTF is THACO!!!??? I don't get how many times I can use spells. I HATE WHEN MY CHARACTERS ONLY HIT 1 times out of 5 :<

Gah! Everyone says the A in Baldur wrong. It's pronounced just like the A in ball or bald. As in, a man will lose more hair, becoming balder over time. Not bal like gal. Or bolder, or belder, two other mispronunciations I've heard. Ok. Sorry sorry. I got it outta my system now. Carry on. ;)
