I feel I improved so much over the course of this project. Turns out drawing 489 pictures in quick succession can do something to a person. Who knew?
I definitely still lack skills in some aspects, but I think I make up for that with sheer insanity
And yes, this doubles as a desert duo animatic

Having Grian wear his jumper around his neck as a cape (cuz desert and overheating) is a pretty neat character design choice :D

So I was trying to figure out how to handle Grians wings to keep it consistent with my previous stuff, and I figured that since I was adding shading, I could have the wings appear in the shadow. Only recently did I realize that that is exactly what this cover did to reference the nightcore version of the song. Its amazing how ideas work like this

This song also goes so well with Eyes and Ears/Watcher Lore. G becoming a watcher, then leaving. Still being part of the war, "Even if Heaven won't take me back," referencing how, in Eyes and Ears, G realized what the watchers were about, and,"Knowing what we're worth fighting for." Finally fighting back from inside the system. Edit: How did I only just register that it is, "Before you start the war, you should know what your fighting for!"??! It is even closer than I thought initially!

This is absolutely beautiful! I love the symbolize of showing Grian’s wings in every shadow he casts. Also the fighting turning to dancing was just chefs kiss

THIS IS EPIC!!! I love the way the battle of their red desert was animated, ren and Grian fighting.. But the part that blew me away was at 3:16 with Grian and Scar chasing out of the cactus ring, where the turn around of them dancing (?) transitioned into a punch. That motion of the camera turning flowing into a punch was just amazing. I had to pause to process how cool it was

This is amazing! The idea that Grian's wings are visible in his shadow still is so cool, and I really liked the flashbacks to them dancing instead of fighting in the cactus ring, and how Grian's wings appeared at the end to cover Scar

This is fantastic! Great song choice, and I absolutely love your character designs and the style of the animation. Plus it was so nice seeing all the character moments -- you clearly really thought through what you included and it does such a lovely job of illustrating the arc of their story in 3rd Life. The fighting / dancing / fighting moment in the cactus ring was perfection, my poor heart.

Oh hell yeah this looks so good!! I love the different camera movements/perspective change and the way you portrayed all the moments! The compositions in some of the shots are also super good I love how you can tell the clear focus of the shots and the animation itself is well done! ^^ Great job AND ALL COLORED TOO ITS SO MUCH WORK!
