Yusuke is well written through his relationships and dynamics. His relationships every member of team Urameshi is different and fleshed out. And even though Yusukes attributes are common in manga his personality and how he expresses himself definitely stands out even amongst his character type

GUTS from Berserk has got to be in the top 5. Left to die in his mother's blood at birth, abused, crushed, and relentlessly pursued by demons, the dead, humans, and the Godhand for eternity and he never. Gives. Up. The most resilient character of all time.

John is right. Toriyama wanted to end DBZ with Gohan being the main character after the Cell Saga but they received hella backlash from fans and brought Goku back in the Buu saga.

I feel the same as you Mark! I want more on Minato, Hashirama, and even Shisui. I feel like shisui played a big part in the show but they don’t go into detail about it. And he even had respect from other villages.

Trigun never gets mentioned… vash was insanely well written. His character was amazing from his morals to his personal ideals. Also living a life of constant chaos but always hiding his pain in jokes is insanely tough. Still protecting everyone around him even if the person is after his life, remarkable alone

Vegeta's sacrifice against Buu still hurts to this day! Despite not many characters actually developing throughout DB, Vegeta has and continues to impress me each and every arc. Starting off as a villain, turning into a antihero and then finally standing by Goku's side as a TRUE hero. The man really found love and peace with his family. Characters like Vegeta helped me go outside my bubble and even attempt to write a comic series myself!

I love the way you guys debate. John is always trying to be reasonable, Ben always has a point when he's done with the foolishness, Dylan ends up getting swayed and corrupted on his choices, Leeland is proven wrong, Desmond quietly pulls on his beard until someone says something he don't like and he turns into Vegeta, and Mark is the Gatekeeper of ALL knowledge who very passionately defends what he knows to be the truth

John do be right sometimes, Akira Toriyama did want Gohan to take over as the main character but the fans at the time still liked Goku more

Epic debate! just one correction... Aizen's end goal was to overthrow the Soul King. To do that he needed tremendous power, enough to fight and easily defeat the royal guard and the soul palace itself. The Hougyoku was merely a means to an end.
