You've never seen this side of Texas before! This needs to be seen!

I spent two days exploring Odessa, Texas - a city that's been called the most dangerous city in the USA at one point. How does it look today? We'll find out.

So true about the middle class disappearing. The middle-class is the backbone of America, without it the body collapses.

Just living in Odessa is enough to make you turn bad. Freezing cold in the winter, buring hot i the summer. The wind blows 15-20 every day and its as flat as the lunar surface. Most the jobs in the oil business are hard, unless youre an engineer. Im in a bad mood just talking about it and I've never lived there.
  • Born in Odessa in the 80s dad worked on the rigs it’s definitely the armpit of Texas

Right next to Odessa is Midland, which has zero character, and is perpetually covered with dirt. I'm not kidding about the dirt. I pulled into a major gas station in Midland, and wondered why such a large establishment wasn't paved. Turned out, it WAS paved. The pavement was just buried under two inches of loose dirt. True story.
  • Sadly so many towns are starting to look like so many malls.. empty n abandoned 😢 only cities end up with crime, ppl living in poverty n homelessness. Breaks my heart

It’s amazing how much a beautifully sunny day with blue skies can do for a neighborhood. Go back to that same area on an overcast day with dark skies and maybe you’ll feel that place feels sketchy.

Definitely the best channel to show us reality of these days. Reality that politicians do not want to show us.

You are either wealthy or poor working class, you got that right, there is no middle class.

I graduated from UTPB in 1977. Loved my two year stay in Odessa. Rented a room on Alpine St, then a house on Amburgey, an apartment on N Lee St, then finally a house on Brentwood. Met some wonderful people out there.

I grew up in Odessa then left after the oil bust 95/96. It has its ups and downs but it was never a hood where people roamed the streets. Like any city it’s what you make of it or who you hang with. Lots of drinking there. I don’t remember much of a drug problem but it seemed everyone drank.

I lived in Odessa for a few years about 25 years ago working in the oilfields and it was a fun place to be.

I just left after being there 4 months for my husband’s solar job. It was horrible! I wish you would’ve went to a Walmart and asked for something they don’t speak English!
