I Met Mike Holmes! Here's What I Learned (WOF Graphic Novel Artist)

I'm so happy that I got this opportunity! I'm gonna cherish these signed copies forever lol. Hoping to one day get something signed by Tui as well! Question of the day: On a scale of 1-10, how was 2023 for you? My answer: 10/10!

Ive spoken with Mike before. He's a really sweet guy. Something not a lot of people know about him is that he actually published his own comic, and it's actually really good. For the Darkstalker Graphic Novel, while I do see him not having a contract for it being its not coming, I wouldn't mark off all hope. Tui has been known to hire extra help for bigger projects (Remember, Legends are Double to Triple the size of a normal book) so i could also see Tui just hirng someone else for Legends books, as sort of an "Special Book"

Getting your book signed by the author is always cool. I still have my signed copy of Grip Of The Shadow Plague by Brandon Mull from fifth grade and evertime I read it I still think its awesome I got to meet him.

You met MIKE HOLMES?! I have to say, I'm feeling quite jealous right now. But it's awesome anyway that you've gotten some first-hand insight into what's to come for the graphic novels. And I'm pretty sure getting to see so many WoF fans was a treat as well!

i cant wait for the escaping peril graphic novel ( to bad its a year away) its also my favorite book too. random fact in the beginning of escaping Peril when Peril is with Scarlet in the desert the book says that the sand under Perils feet turn into glass because of there fire scales. A quick Google search later and the temperature that glass turns to sand is roughly 1700°C (3090°F) witch is the temperature of a space shuttle re-entering the earth's atmosphere witch is CRAZY!!! ( imagine being winter or any other dragon Peril killed and feeling that much heat the pain must be insane)

You lucky dog! I'm glad that Mike turned out to be so pleasant. Most of the artists I've encountered are either banal or bad tempered. It's kind of a bummer that Darkstalker won't get drawn by him due to his schedule, but that simply means it (might) get made some day. It'll be interesting to see how he handles That Scene, considering how gruesome the art was in spots in Winter Turning. It's also awesome how this guy might be looking at your videos! Man!

Your so lucky you met him. I'd love to get the graphic novels to have him sign them🤩 Sadly i only got to read to graphic novels in my school library so I have none he can sign. Besides that my sister loves the books secret coders and would probably adore getting his signature. It's sad that we might not get a Legends or winglets graphic book because that's be amazing🥰. My nonna just got me the first winglets book for Christmas to read since I haven't gotten it and I'm super excited to read it!
