Movie summarized: Everyone is awful except for one kindly old Japanese businessman.

The real villains in this movie were the old man's family

I honestly love that the old man was questioning whether or not he's actually human or not. Then when he heals he says he feels alive and this means he still has his humanity.

The ending was great; the bad guy came back and realized he still has a friend in the world. He left to protect that bond, respecting the power of benevolence over maliciousness.
  • Hiro: “You took everything from me” Japan: “I don’t even know who you are”

the anime was more sadder and darker but at least in this movie, instead of pushing Hiro away, his friend actually offered to hang out with him, maybe that would have at least calmed him down with the carnage and stuff since this shows that there's still someone who actually cares for him since in the anime, his friend instead pushed him away rather than hanging out with him

Netflix, Hollywood- take notes. The casting in this is spot on, even the side characters such as the chubby dude at the computer that gets killed.
  • Damn, that feeling when everyone you know thinks you're a failure and abandons you, except the dog.

So the daughter calls him a coward but doesn't attack them herself? Coward.

It's sad to see that this family don't realize the efforts he makes for them. it took him to be a robot and save people to get his family appreciation.

It's legitimately so upsetting to see a family treat the father like garbage despite trying so hard to make his family happy.

I like to imagine that this is how it started: Drunk alien: accidentally kills 2 people from earth Drunk alien: “shit how do I fix this” Drunk alien: * makes them into destructive robots * The 2 people: * causes mass genocide * Drunk alien: shuffled away slowly Edit: I realized I just described Rick Sanchez from Rick & Morty lol
  • in anime the aliens didnt know how advanced the humans were so they just gave them the high technical advancements as much as they thought humans achieved and took off without realising the advancements were too much
  • @globo1028
Aliens really went ‘oh shit, my fault’ and reconstructed them 😂

This movie misses a very important key detail, in which afterwards, Hiro contemplates the events that led up to his downfall, despite being much stronger than Inuyashiki in every way. While that happens, a meteor is suddenly projected to collide head-on with the Earth. This revelation causes Inuyashiki's family to realize that they do in fact love him. Inuyashiki then makes the ultimate sacrifice, to give his life in order to stop the meteor. However, after trying everything, he is not strong enough to succeed. In the end, Hiro emerges and gives his own life to destroy the meteor, deeming his own life to have less value, since he has nothing, while Inuyashiki has a family who cares about him.

First time I see a recap that mentions the actual movie name and the title is not misleading. Well done.
